Katie Price furious as trolls accuse her of wrongly using disabled parking badge
Katie Price has furiously hit back at trolls who accuse her of wrongly parking in a disabled bay while she was out shopping, despite being with her eldest son Harvey at the time.
Harvey, 18, lives with multiple conditions, including Septo-optic Dysplasia, autism and Prader-Willi syndrome. Mum-of-five Katie, who welcomed Harvey into the world after a brief romance with footballer Dwight Yorke, recalled a time she was out with her children, and parked her unmissable bright pink Range Rover in a disabled bay.
The former glamour model, 44, explained that she had an uncomfortable exchanged with a couple who made a rude comment about where she had parked. Speaking to her sister Sophie on the latest episode of The Katie Price Show podcast, Katie said: "I was parking in a disabled bay when I had my pink Range Rover and I was getting the kids out. I was parked at Toys-R-Us.
"This couple looked at my car and got out and went: 'Who do you think you are? Just cause you've got a car like that, you think you could park in a disabled bay?' I was livid, I saw them going to Currys and I've got Harvey out, went into Currys and went, 'How dare you!' and everyone comes round.
"I said, 'Look, you all know Harvey and they're saying I don't have the right to park in a disabled bay. And I had my badges. I was livid. Does it matter what car I’ve got? Why does that make a difference? I had my display badges. Obviously, I have them for Harvey. So I was like, 'Here you go, this is why I’m in a disabled bay. Thank you very much.' Things like that wind me up. I would never park in a disabled bay without a reason."
Katie Price and Danielle Lloyd 'bury the hatchet' after documentary feudBut sadly, Katie is no stranger to being targeted by members of the public - even when she is out with her children. Katie looked back on another incident on the podcast, this time where she was subjected to vile abuse in front of her eight-year-old daughter Bunny. When out shopping in Tesco with Bunny and her older sister Princess, 16, two women - who were also with a young child - shouted: "You're a s***!"
Katie's sister Sophie was horrified, asking: "Really? Even nowadays people are still doing that?" Katie replied: "Yeah, they went, 'you're a s***!' And I turned around and I said,"‘Excuse me? What did you say?'"
Explaining that she was left fuming, she added: "I said, 'How dare you say that when I've got kids here. You know nothing about me. You've got no right to call me a s***. You don't even know me.'" Furious, Sophie said: "Why would people do that? Especially when you've got kids around!"
