Danielle Armstrong defended by fans after being mum-shamed by online troll
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Danielle Armstrong found herself being defended by fans after an online troll criticised her over her parenting choices.
The 35-year-old reality star - who was a cast member of ITV’s Towie from 2013 until 2020 - is proud mum to three-year-old daughter Orla and recent new baby Una, who arrived in July. Danielle shares both children with her husband, Tommy Edney - who she married in August 2022.
While Danielle may have stepped out of the reality spotlight three years ago, fans are still able to keep up to date on her life via her social media channels. And she regularly involves her husband and children in posts about their major life updates. This month, Danielle was stunned to find her eldest daughter looking like she was all grown up as she was being packed off to pre school.
The proud mum shared a photo of her daughter dressed for school while getting emotional about how quickly she was growing. In a caption shared alongside a photo, Danielle wrote: "And Just Like That Our Little Girl Is At Pre School ... I’m not sure if it’s the uniform but all of a sudden our little Orla just looks so grown up. Excited for you to make new friends , explore, & make childhood memories my little darling."

One hit out at the parents, writing: “She's 2 should still be in nursery.to young for pre school.in my ophion… keep her in nursery till 4.dont make them grow up to soon.this is my opinion and I am old school.”

However, Danielle had many fans who rushed to her aid - to correct the online troll and to warn them off criticising the reality star. A loyal fan highlighted that Orla is over three years old, and added: “always a negative nelly on here I'm sure they know what's best for there child.”
Meanwhile, Danielle has been praised in recent week for showing off her post-baby body after Una arrived two months ago. The reality star won approval from fans for displaying her “real” post-pregnancy figure which has included her still-swollen stomach.
Taking to social media, Danielle recently posed wearing a tight grey coloured sweatshirt and filmed herself stroking her belly. She added a caption reading: “A reminder that your belly still looks like you're pregnant weeks after birth." She added: "Thank you belly for growing this perfect happy baby."
Fans were quick to praise the star for showing off her figure in a way many celebrities would not. One fan wrote: "So true … really important to share as so many ( especially first time mums ) don’t realise. It’s the 4th trimester! Xx" And another commented: “Thank you for being a mere mortal and telling how it really is… I wish more were like you."
