My Mum, Your Dad viewers beg for another season after emotional end to series

My Mum, Your Dad left viewers in tears as the season came to an end with many couples leaving in happy partnerships.

The ITV series saw parents from across the nation live together at a country house retreat as they attempted to find love. Unbeknownst to the parents, their children - who nominated them to go on the new series - watched their every move from a sofa in 'The Bunker'.

The finale saw the parents and their children enjoy a heartwarming reunion as they caught up with their parents and met up with their parents' potential partners. The children shared their concerns and honest opinions about the relationships after watching everything happen from behind a screen.

While most couples seemed to have impressed the kids, things were a little bit harder for Monique when her daughter Taiya relayed what she saw went down with Martin M and Tollulah. After meeting with Martin M and asking about his intentions, all that was left for the parents was receiving 'blessings' from their children.

However, Monique decided a relationship with Martin M wasn't on the cards and told him: "It would have been nice for you to take a little bit more interest in me and my life and what I've been through. I thought you came here to try give yourself a chance to go a bit deeper and connect with someone.

"You've not asked me much about myself and my life so you know nothing about it and I don't want to feel like that with anybody. And so, therefore, we're just not right for each other." Martin, although disappointed, respected her wishes and the two decided to remain friends.

The other couples had a better time as all their kids' gave their blessings. Sharon and Elliott, Roger and Janey, Natalie and Paul all got the green card from their children. Viewers rushed to social media to share their thoughts on the emotional final episode of the ITV programme.

As the series came to an end, fans were an emotional wreck as they begged producers for another season of the show. One user gushed about Roger and said: "Gutted this is the last episode of #MyMumYourDad wish it was on for longer. Roger is so lovely and the way he spoke to William and vice versa was soooo amazing."

"Just finished #MyMumYourDad absolutely gutted!!! What an amazing series! @ThisisDavina would be amazing if they did a reunion in a few months' time & hoping for a series 2?!" another asked as they tagged host Davina McCall. One was obsessed with the songs used in the series and said: "Going to miss watching #MyMumYourDad, but I must say the soundtrack to it has been fantastic! Some absolute tunes in there!"

Another fan asked: "Please please please can we have more of #MyMumYourDad such a great programme," while one said: "Great finale to cap a great series, grown-up version of Love Island, awesome soundtrack too, hope there’s another series in future."
