Prince Harry's ex Cressida Bonas shares update on motherhood after welcoming first child

Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas opened up about her motherhood journey almost a year after welcoming her first child.

The model and actress, 34, welcomed baby boy Wilbur James with her husband, Harry Wentworth-Stanley, in November last year. A month later, she penned a candid report of how hard it was for her to conceive and the way her struggle affected her both emotionally and physically.

She then shared the first snaps of her baby in January, writing on social media: "Welcoming 2023 with these 2 treasures. Happy New Year everybody!” In the photo, Cressida - who appeared in White House Farm - posted an adorable photo of herself snuggling up to her baby and their sausage dog.

And now, almost a year later, the star discussed her career plans as well as life as a mother. "I absolutely love being a mum, but I also love acting and I’m looking forward to getting back to work soon," she revealed to OK! Magazine while attending the 'Radiant Resilience' exhibition from artist Zara Muse at Quantus Gallery, Shoreditch.

In December, the actress opened up about how prior to her IVF journey she found herself avoiding situations where she would see children because of the heartache of her infertility. Writing in The Sunday Times Cressida admitted feeling that "my body was failing me" after a specialist told her and Harry "there was nothing fundamentally wrong."

She wrote: "I spent time and money on reflexology, nutritionists, acupuncture and psychics... Even a German healer who speaks to angels. I heard nothing, not a squeak. "My mind was on a constant worry loop and my obsession with getting pregnant became overwhelming.

"No matter how many Mystic Megs I saw or expensive supplements I took, nothing was working, and I felt as if my body was failing me." She would avoid children's parties held by her friends and family and admitted that IVF 'frightened' her at first as she had no 'power' over the outcome.

Thankfully, her worries were soon eased when she and her husband found themselves successful in the first round of IVF treatments leading to the birth of their son in November. Cressida and her husband married in 2020. Years before, she had a relationship with Prince Harry.

The then-couple had a somewhat tumultuous relationship, breaking up and getting back together multiple times between 2012 and 2014, after having met at a music festival. Prince Harry, of course, tied the knot with Meghan Markle in 2018 and the duo went on to welcome Archie and Lilibet.
