The Chicago Bears have already been approached by a number of teams who have shown interest in trading for the number one overall pick in a move that would hugely shake up the 2023 NFL Draft.

After a dreadful season for the Bears, they find themselves in an interesting position with having the number one overall draft pick in a quarterback-heavy draft.

The Bears, though, believe that they have their quarterback in Justin Fields, who performed admirably in his second season, breaking records with his rushing ability as he finished the season with a whopping 1,143 yards on the ground.

But with the team struggling around Fields, the Bears have much work to do to their roster if they are going to get back to being a competitive franchise.

In order to do so, they may look to trade away their number one pick, to acquire further selections to build their roster - rather than just selecting one player, in a draft which does not have one outstanding talent.

And it has been reported on Monday that the Bears are already considering trading out the first overall pick, with a number of teams looking to move up for one of the four quarterbacks.

Schefter tweeted: "The Bears already have been approached by multiple teams about trading the draft’s No. 1 overall pick, and Chicago is said to be 'leaning toward' moving the pick. So the No. 1 pick now looks like it’s for sale."

A number of teams, including the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Las Vegas Raiders, Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers are all expected to be in the market for a quarterback on draft day, with one of them likely to trade up to select one.

The class will feature Bryce Young (Alabama), CJ Stroud (Ohio State), Will Levis (Kentucky) and Anthony Richardson (Florida), who all are being projected as future starters in the league and are likely to be taken within the top 10 picks.

The Bears secured the number one overall draft pick on the final day of the season, taking it away from the Texans who beat the Indianapolis Colts, much to the frustration of their own fans.

Texans fans would no doubt be hugely frustrated to see a team jump above them and take their preferred quarterback with the number one pick that they'll feel that they should have had.
