Two-time Ryder Cup player Keegan Bradley has revealed there was a Netflix camera capturing his reaction to not being picked for this year's matches in Italy at the end of September

Bradley was last part of the American team in 2012 and 2014 but had a strong season on the PGA Tour. The 39-year-old won in Japan at the Zozo Championship last autumn before following that victory up with another at the Travelers Championship this summer.

He finished 11th in the American Ryder Cup points list, notably above Sam Burns, Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas. However, Team USA captain Johnson opted to pick that trio over him and Cameron Young, who sat 9th in the standings.

But for Bradley, he had Netflix cameras inside his home filming the fateful moment for the second season of Full Swing. The 2011 PGA Championship winner has recalled the story on the latest episode of the Foreplay podcast.

"I got a text from Zach: 'Hey guys, I'm going to be calling everybody tomorrow morning. I'm like, 'Oh s***, I got another night of sweating this out'.

"I wake up. I'm tired, and I get a call from Netflix, and they say: 'Keegan, we got a camera crew five minutes from your house'.

"Why would they be sending a camera crew if I'm not gonna get picked? For the first time, I let my brain think I did it. Why would they be rushing a camera crew to my house? Like what?

"And as soon as I picked up the phone, it was like a: 'Hey, Keegan...' You know? Like, one of those, and I look over at Jill [his wife] a second into the call, and I go, like, 'no'.

"You're gonna see this. This is real life. No one's ever seen this call before, and it was devastating."

Bradley shared a similar sentiment when discussing his snub with the Golf Channel. "I could tell by the response from Zach when I answered the phone that I wasn’t on the team," he recalled.

"I’m super bummed out. I thought I put together a really good year with two wins. … (but) I am pulling for the U.S. team.”

That is despite Burns, Fowler and Thomas - plus Jordan Spieth and Collin Morikawa - and LIV Golf's Brooks Koepka being selected instead of him. The decision has led to some suggestions of Team USA being a "Boys Club."

Bradley also admitted to feeling like an outsider, something U.S. vice-captain Fred Couples did not entirely dispel. "I feel like it’s the players’ team," he told Golf Digest, "but you can’t have guys telling the captain 'here’s who I want, should be on it,' unless you’re a Jordan Spieth or a Scottie Scheffler, or a [Patrick] Cantlay."

"Now they’re picking other guys that may not have the record of Keegan, but they pair them up perfectly. I like Keegan. He’s an older guy, and he’s not in tight with them. If that had 20 per cent to do with it, I won’t argue that."
