O2, Sky, and GiffGaff Black Friday 2023

Black Friday doesn't hit until November 24 but the countdown to the global sale event has seen O2 and Sky unveil their network offers, ideal for shoppers looking to lock into a cheaper pay-monthly device and handset deal as quickly as possible. The data saving drops the price of a range of different handsets including Samsung, Apple, and Google devices.

Like the Samsung Galaxy S23, which is now £591 cheaper than before for those who add the 100GB data deal to their basket along with the handset, making it cheaper than Samsung's own price. It's now £7 cheaper a month which across the 24-month plan comes to a £168 saving.

Next up is O2 who have also propelled the Galaxy S23 device to the top of its Black Friday deals too, with up to £600 up for grabs. There's also a £108 saving on Apple's iPhone 14. EE is another network users may be eagerly awaiting for it to drop its deals and although non have officially launched yet, there's a huge saving on its SIM-only deal.

Shoppers who already have a device in hand and just in need for data may want to take a look at EE's SIM-only deal, as it cuts the price by half for a full six months, a saving of £99 across its Unlimited Data plan. Vodafone is another provider yet to launch its official Black Friday offers, although there is a landing page ready and waiting for eager shoppers to sign up to.

The network you choose will all depend on what type of added extra you could get thrown into your monthly contract without having to pay a penny more. Like O2, which has become well known for offering monthly Disney+ discounts, EE frequently throws in a free six-month Apple Music subscription.

So, to help you make a choice when it comes to buying your next iPhone 15, Galaxy S23 or any other shiny new handset, we've rounded up the best perks for UK networks below.

Vodafone

If you've taken out a pay-monthly contract with Vodafone before you'll be aware of its VeryMe rewards app. It's an app where you'll find restaurant discounts, reduced event tickets and even deals on popular days out.

It's Very Me passes can get you 50% off a host of popular UK attractions with museums, zoos, and theme parks on the list. One of its most sought-after offers is its cinema ticket discounts. The brand of cinema changes throughout the year and the provider is currently offering 30% off tickets at Odeon, all you have to do to qualify is pay for a monthly contract, no matter the price.

Sky Mobile

  • Get some of the best data perks at Sky Mobile, you can take out a contract here

Next up we have the perks offered at Sky, where texts and calls are one of its top freebie priorities. That's because it offers free UK calls and texts on all of its SIM-only contracts to all customers who already have Sky TV.

If you don't already pay for its TV service don't worry as it's not the only perk offered on its SIM contracts. One benefit for all is its monthly rollover scheme, which will keep your unused data for up to three years. This means if you don't use the full amount you pay for, let's say 75GB as an example, you can roll it over to another month and use it at a later date.

To top it all off customers can also change their data amount whenever they need. Don't have enough data each month, or looking to cut down? Sky allows customers to change their plan (from the following month) in the My Sky app.

O2 and Virgin Media

  • Get priority access to concert tickets when you take out an O2 contract here

Ever wondered how fans got into the Harry Styles presale queue on Ticketmaster? Well, it's all thanks to being an O2 customer. All pay-monthly customers get access to O2 Priority presale tickets, one of the network's most sought-after add-ons.

All you have to do is download the O2 Priority Tickets app and use your O2 phone number to verify. Once you've registered your interest for an upcoming artist ticket sale you will then receive a unique presale access code via text to boost your chances of getting tickets.

It's not the only perk offered through the O2 Priority App, and similar to Vodafone, customers can enjoy restaurant discount codes and spontaneous free meals (like its Greggs giveaways).

You can take a look at the O2 Priority perks here.

Now we get onto its partner brand Virgin Media, which O2 merged with back in 2021. It now means O2 mobile customers can benefit from Virgin Media broadband perks, and vice versa. And the biggest offer for O2 mobile customers is its huge broadband discounts over at Virgin Media.

O2 customers could get double the amount of data, broadband boosts and quicker wi-fi speeds, to qualify, households will need one person signed up with a Virgin Media broadband plan and another with a monthly plan from O2.

And it could save you hundreds of pounds a year so we've included a quick breakdown below.

Three

  • You can get £950 off the newest iPhone 15 Pro when you trade in an old handset at Three

Three Mobile is pretty similar to O2 and Vodafone when it comes to offering discounted event tickets and spontaneous free codes for coffee and meals out. And this is all down to its Three+ rewards app.

Cineworld, Cafe Nero and Nandos seem to be its most focused chains when it comes to offering freebies, and an example of its weekly offer could see you get a free ice blended drink at Cafe Nero each week.

EE

  • Get free Apple Music for six months when you take out a monthly contract at EE, buy here

Now this really is a perk for anyone with the latest iPhone 15 on their shopping list, as you can bag its music streaming platform for free. Any new contract customers can save £59.94 thanks to EE's free six-month offer, as the streaming subscription usually costs £9.99 a month.

Similar to O2's free Disney+ subscription it's worth noting which provider offers what subscription so you can make your choice when picking out a competitively prices phone contract.
