Dragon's Den star Duncan Bannatyne taken to hospital as his wife shares update
Dragon's Den star Duncan Bannatyne was taken to hospital to undergo a routine procedure and his wife Nigora shared an update with fans on social media.
The 74 year old star, who became known for his outspoken opinions with business hopefuls on BBC show, was seen in a number of snaps lying on a hospital bed awaiting and endoscopy.
The reason behind the procedure remains unknown but, in one snap, Duncan is seen on his phone wearing a blue hospital gown under the sheets of his hospital bed. In another picture take by his 43-year-old wife Nigora, who he married in 2017, Duncan is in the background as Nigora poses for the camera with a pout.

She then treated herself to a hot drink and a pastry as she stayed at the hospital to wait for Duncan until he was ready to leave.

Describing him as her "love" as she waited for him, Nigora decided to treat fans to another selfie. This time she showed off what she was wearing, which was a blue patterned top which she teamed with a white cardigan and a Chanel choker necklace.
She captioned her post saying: "Waiting for my love @duncanbannatyne fingers crossed all goes ok." An endoscopy is a test to look inside a body using a thin tube with a small camera inside to look for any issues. It is usually administered via a person's mouth.
The couple first met in 2014 when Nigora worked at a dental surgery in Harley Street and the businessman popped in for an appointment.
The pair then started dating from 2015 and, within a year, Duncan popped the question with a £40,000 engagement ring in Monte Carlo. They then tied the knot with in a ceremony in Portugal and flew to Croatia for their honeymoon. And Duncan admitted in an interview with OK! magazine that after their first meeting he felt that he had fallen in love with her.
He said: "When I went home I couldn’t stop thinking about her, I felt obsessed! I felt in love with her."
Since they got married, couple had considered starting a family but in another chat with OK!, the dad-of-six claimed it was unlikely that children would be part of their life plan. Speaking in 2020 with the publication, the TV star said: "I don’t think it’s going to happen. We tried, but I don’t think we are going to have children. We’re not trying to prevent it happening, so if it did, great, but I don’t think it is going to.”
And Nigora added: "If it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen, but we are not doing anything about it, like IVF, and we are not going to stress about it."
In the same interview, she also spoke about their noticeable age gap: "Age doesn’t really matter to me. He has more energy than I have. I can’t keep up with him. And I think people have accepted the age difference and can see that we genuinely love each other. In the beginning we got a few trolls but now they leave us alone.”
Duncan and Nigora live in Portugal in a multi-million pound villa and appear to live a happy life. But things haven't always been as settled for the businessman. Back in 2011 he split with his second wife Joanne McCue and their divorce was finalised two years later. Their split was said to be acrimonious and it was reported by the Daily Mail that they had reached an settlement agreement of £345m. Joanne had wanted the equivalent to £1,000 a day, as well as financial help for their two children and a holiday home in France.
But now, Duncan has clearly put the past behind him. Nigora has, in the past, been praised for her youthful appearance. Sharing a gym mirror selfie with her fans on social media, she said: "I'm 43. Nowadays you see 18 years olds eating fast foods, drinking soda eating coloured GMO , high sugar foods, without realising what damage they are causing to their health. Right now their livers, kidneys are manage to filter all that junk out but with time they turn to numerous medications to heal vicious cycle."

She added: "Think of your body as a car fill it with high quality energy. Pump your brain and body with daily exercise! That's my main goal and the secret to a healthy and beautiful body!"
