A dad has voiced his frustration over "urinating" yobs and their deafening late-night music which reverberates through his home until the early hours of the morning.

Chris Pratt, 47, claims the antics, said to come from a car park most nights, make it "impossible" to sleep in his newly built home nearby. The father, who shares his home with his wife and twin 13-year-old daughters, reports that his house "shudders" from the bass-heavy music, which has been blasted until 4am on multiple occasions.

Despite numerous complaints lodged with Cleveland Police and Middlesbrough Council, Pratt says nothing has been done to stop the behaviour. From "racing" cars tearing up and down the road to "lewd" acts, the beleaguered dad says these incidents occur every weekend, insisting that "something has to be done."

Pratt shared his ordeal with Teesside Live: "The problem is with the car park on the common - it's the car park that people go into to use Albert Park, and it's a lovely car park for families to park in. But in the last two years, I'm exhausted. We are getting people pulling up, opening car doors, windows, and boots, and blaring music. This weekend, they pulled up and played music so loud that my windows were vibrating. I'm about 300m away from the car park. It can go anywhere between 9am and 4am."

Chris reported that children were brazenly "urinating" in front of his twin daughters. "They don't care. They don't have a care in the world," he lamented. The distressed father was compelled to call the police after witnessing these "lewd" acts, with the authorities confirming receipt of a report regarding public urination.

"Every time there is anti-social behaviour, I call the police. They were racing cars up and down Park Vale Road at 10pm on Sunday night. You can't sleep, it's impossible," he said. Chris, a diesel fitter by profession and a former member of the armed forces, also alleged that youths were consuming beer and alcohol, then recklessly "smashing bottles on the floor" once they were done.

The family, who moved to the new Middlesbrough estate just three years ago, are finding it increasingly difficult to live there despite its initial appeal. Adding to their woes, Chris' autistic daughter is having a "meltdown" due to the noise disturbances, including the sound of shattering glass and blaring late-night music.

In a desperate plea for peace, a local resident has claimed that Middlesbrough Council has been petitioned to install cameras in an effort to curb rampant antisocial behaviour. However, the council allegedly responded that there were insufficient complaints to justify such measures.

"The fact is, I start work at 6am in the morning. You can't sleep, it's impossible. My house literally shudders with the base and music. Last night [Sunday] there were three cars and eight to 10 lads in the gang. In summer it is horrendous but it is near enough every weekend now and it's been going on for a couple of years," Chris added.

"It's getting to the point where I don't want to live here anymore. I've been with my partner for 16 to 17 years and this is the first house we have bought together. It's a beautiful brand new home - but it is becoming a nightmare." Chris expressed his frustration with the authorities, saying, "I know how busy police and the council are - but it has been going on for two years, and we feel like we are being snubbed."

In response to the ongoing issue, Cleveland Police announced plans for high-visibility patrols. A spokesperson stated: "Officers have been made aware of a number of recent incidents of antisocial behaviour, including a report of urinating in a public place. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the nature of the recent incidents and whether any criminal offences have taken place."

In response to recent reports of antisocial behaviour, local police have ramped up their efforts in the area. They are currently gathering CCTV footage and conducting high visibility patrols. The situation regarding speeding vehicles is also under close scrutiny to determine if enforcement action is necessary. Cleveland Police encourage anyone wishing to report incidents of antisocial behaviour to do so by calling 101 or reporting online via their website www.cleveland.police.uk.

A spokesperson for Middlesbrough Council has acknowledged the issues at the car park and speeding on Park Vale Road. The Council's Neighbourhood Safety team is grateful to the local residents who have come forward with evidence. One Fixed Penalty Notice has already been issued, and several other incidents are under investigation.

The Council pledges to work hand-in-hand with Cleveland Police to tackle antisocial behaviour. They urge the community to continue reporting their concerns by calling the police on 101.
