Eminem's ex Kim Mathers gives update on relationship before daughter's wedding
Eminem 's ex-wife Kim Mathers has given an update on her relationship with the rapper while also revealing whether she will attend the wedding of their daughter Hailie Jade.
Marshall and Kim welcomed daughter Hailie Jade Mathers in 1998 before tying the knot a year later. However, the relationship between the pair was believed to have had its challenges during their time together in the nineties, with the now 50-year-old rapper having mentioned her a few times in his song. But despite their turbulent relationship over the years, Kim has revealed that the pair are now "on good terms", and they reunite at Hailie's wedding to long-term partner Evan McClintock.
"Yes, of course," Kim replied in response to the question if she was going to attend, with the public figure also adding that she is close to all of her children. When asked how often she saw her ex Eminem, real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, she said: "Not often, but often enough!"
Speaking to The Sun, she also joked that her other daughter Alaina Scott's Gatsby-themed wedding to Matt Moeller in Detroit, Michigan in June was "extravagant".
Speaking previously to People, Alaina spoke of how her dad, Eminem, walked her down the aisle as some fans speculated that he wasn't in attendance due to not being seen in any photographs. "I had an 80-ft long black and white checkered aisle, and my dad walked me down the aisle. He wasn't going to miss that," she said.

The Grammy Award winner has been known to mention his tumultuous family life in his songs - including references his now ex-wife Kim. He referenced his partner in the track '97 Bonnie & Clyde, which was released in 1998. The fictional lyrics document the disposal of her body in a lake, with the narrative of the track following Marshall as he and his infant daughter travel to the pier where it happens.
The relationship later drew further attention with the track Kim, which was released in 2000. It's understood to be a prequel to '97 Bonnie & Clyde. The lyrics reflect anger towards Kim, with the track said to conclude with the rapper killing her, before putting her body in the trunk of his car - leading up to the other track.
The couple separated when their daughter was a child, with their first divorce said to have been finalised in 2001. It was reported at the time that they had joint custody of Hailie. They later remarried briefly for a couple of months in 2006.
