MAFS UK viewers already predict 'couple switch' after spotting sign
Married At First Sight UK fans think they have figured out there will be a 'couple switch' later in the series.
The hit E4 show returned to screens on Monday night as a fresh batch of singletons put their faith in three experts to help them find love. They only found out who their partner was, when they walked down the aisle on their wedding day. Like real marriages, the couples are expected to stay faithful throughout the experiment however, this isn't always the case.
Viewers think they have already spotted a better-suited match as four couples have already got hitched. On Monday night, fans watched as finance manager Laura said 'I do' to North London-based tennis coach Arthur. Fans weren't too convinced by the pairing as Laura insisted she wanted a "Chelsea boy" and she was wary about her match.
Thomas was paired with Rosaline on Tuesday's show (E4)While Tuesday night saw investment communications Thomas, 27, tie the knot with florist Rosaline from Crewe. Rosaline is newly single, having been dumped by her boyfriend just six months ago. She didn't seem impressed with her match on their wedding day as the pair struggled to find a connection.
The awkward wedding left many fans wondering if Thomas would have been better suited to Laura. Taking to X - formerly Twitter - one said: "Thomas and Laura would’ve been a better pairing TBQH." Another added: "Why I feel like Laura and Thomas would of been a better match? He seems like everything she wanted." Someone else questioned: "Why wasn’t Laura matched with Thomas?"

A fourth quipped: "Thomas is who Laura from last night was asking for." "Why didn’t they pair Thomas with Laura?, this is the Chelsea boy she wanted loooool," commented another. Someone else predicted: "PLOT TWIST: Laura cheats on Arthur with posh boy Thomas," while another quipped: "Watch. The posho Chelsea girl (Laura?) is gonna fancy this posho boy, Thomas. She’s gonna be fuming when they all meet."
It's not the first time couples have ended up swapping on the show. Last year saw Whitney Hughes and Matt Murray cause a stir when they grew feelings for one another despite being married to other people on the show. Matt was originally matched with Gemma Rose on the show while Whitney was married to Duka Cav. Fans watched as the couple grew closer, with them ultimately revealing all at an explosive dinner party.
Fans think Laura and Thomas would be better suited (E4)Matt and Whitney later re-joined the experiment as a dating couple – leaving viewers outraged by the decision. Yet things were not meant to be for the couple despite finishing the experiment declaring they were in love. The duo’s tune had dramatically changed by the time the reunion came around. Whitney claimed that it was Matt’s insecurities that ultimately led to the demise of their relationship.
The couple said the first moments outside the show were “spot on” but as time went on cracks started to show, and Whitney revealed the real reason for their split. “I feel that because Matthew has a lot going on in his life – a lot going on in his head – I felt that it was manifesting to me sometimes in ways that I didn't like,” she said. Matt seemed to agree and added how his “previous insecurities” had resurfaced and “put on to Whit”.
Matt then surprised MAFS fans when he went on to have a relationship with previous contestant Marilyse Corrigan. The mother-of-two, 38, appeared on the E4 show in 2021 and months after things didn't work out with Franky, she confirmed her relationship with 2022 contestant Matt, 33, in November last year after growing close to one another.
Their whirlwind romance saw them jet off to Turkey as well as barber Matt being introduced to her teenage sons Callum, 17, and Josh, 14 and the pair even planned for a marriage one day. Yet following the split, Marilyse has branded Matt "needy", admitting the relationship became too intense for her.
