A ten-year-old boy was reunited with his cherished Lego figure after he devised a "missing person" campaign.

Jack Steele was left distraught when he misplaced his beloved Lego figure, a mini-me representation also named Jack. In a bid to recover his treasured toy, the resourceful lad crafted a missing poster complete with a £2 reward for its finder.

The poster poignantly read: "Lost: has anyone seen this Lego man? He is very special to me." Accompanied by a detailed sketch of the figure, Jack provided a meticulous description: "Light brown quiff with matching eyebrows. Hawaiian Shirt (blue with palm trees and an orange stripe on the bottom). Dark green pants."

Fortune smiled upon Jack when his Lego doppelgänger was discovered in a park in his hometown of Ulverston, Cumbria, by a local schoolgirl. The girl's mother reached out to Jack's mum, Lorna Walker, after spotting the missing poster online.

Lorna expressed her gratitude by gifting the young heroine a box of chocolates for her good deed. Recalling the incident, she shared that Jack was 'very upset' upon realising his Lego companion was missing. She said: "He came to me before he was going over to school very upset that he had lost it and thought it must have fallen out of his bag. After school, he came out with the poster and we retraced our steps home with no luck. That's when I posted the poster on Facebook."

"He had made it at the end of the holidays at the Lego Discovery Centre in Manchester and took great care in picking the perfect parts. Basically, Jack had put it in the front pocket of his bag to take it to his grandma's after school to show her - but forgot to zip it and it had fallen out."
