Ariana Grande and estranged husband Dalton Gomez both file for divorce

Ariana Grande has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Dalton Gomez - and he's filled too.

The couple were married for two years, but in July of this year, Ariana and Dalton were reported to be "heading for divorce." Ariana removed photos from her wedding to Dalton from her Instagram quickly after these reports were made.

After her breakup with Dalton, Ariana started to date Ethan Slater, with rumours that the relationship started before the split happened. The two met while filming the movie version of the musical Wicked in London, with Ethan playing Boq and Ariana playing the good witch Glinda.

Laura Wasser, Ariana's lawyer, is said to have filed first on Monday, allegedly citing the reason for divorce as irreconcilable differences. Dalton's lawyer reportedly filed shortly after. It's thought everything was worked out between them before being legally filled.

Some sources claim that Ariana will give Dalton a check for an undisclosed amount, and that would be the end of it. The two had a prenup agreement, so it looks like a smooth break ahead. The official date of separation was listed as February 20, 2023, five months before divorce and new romance rumours. The reason for the long time between separation and filing for divorce is reportedly that the couple took their time figuring everything out and settling with "no hard feelings," according to some sources.

Ethan was also married but has since filed for divorce from his wife Lilly Jay. The two were high school sweethearts who married in 2018 and welcomed a son into the world last year.

Lilly Jay was supposedly "blindsided" by the breakup and her now estranged husband's romance with the Thank U Next singer. Sources claim that Ethan is desperate to co-parent his son with Lilly, something that reportedly both parties have agreed on.

Supposedly, Ethan and Ariana have taken their relationship to the next level and are living together in New York City ahead of Ethan's upcoming role in the Broadway show Spamalot. Ethan isn't a stranger to Broadway, as he played the titular role in Spongebob Squarepants The Musical.

At the time, sources found it "strange" that Ariana was living with Ethan while she still hadn't filed for divorce from Dalton, but it seems that it's all cleared up now. Meanwhile, Dalton had to "adjust" to his new life without Ariana and with his private issues out in the open.

Dalton reportedly was used to "living a private life" before the divorce, according to a source who spoke to Us Weekly. The source added: "It's been a little while since Ariana and Dalton split, but he's been adjusting to his new normal and learning to accept it for what it is. It's certainly not how he expected things to play out because he obviously assumed they would be together forever."
