Charmed's Shannen Doherty tears up during standing ovation amid cancer treatment
Shannen Doherty was overcome with emotion as she was given a standing ovation from fans after reuniting with her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars.
The 52-year-old actress was joined by Tori Spelling, Jason Priestly, Brian Austin Green, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering and Gabrielle Carteris as they attended 90s Con In Tampa, Florida, over the weekend. They came together on stage to discuss the hit series and take questions from fans.
At the end of the panel, Shannen - who has stage four breast cancer - was left in tears as fans applauded her. Addressing the audience, she said: "Thank you so much."

So, thank you," Shannen added, according to People. The event comes just months after Shannen announced that her stage four breast cancer had spread to her brain.
The Charmed star revealed her new diagnosis back in June in a video she shared on Instagram. In the clip, she was seen undergoing radiation therapy earlier this year.

Alongside the video, she wrote: "On January 5th, my ct scan showed Mets in my brain. Yesterday's video was showing the process of getting fitted for the mask which you wear during radiation to your brain.

She's been very open about her health (Instagram/ @theshando)"January 12, the first round of radiation took place. My fear is obvious. I am extremely claustrophobic and there was a lot going on in my life. I am fortunate as I have great doctors like Dr Amin Mirahdi and the amazing techs at cedar sinai. But that fear…. The turmoil….. the timing of it all…. This is what cancer can look like."
In a follow-up clip, Shannen said she had a tumour in her head which doctors wanted to remove and biopsy. Opening up about her feelings, she said: "I am clearly trying to be brave but I am petrified.
"The fear was overwhelming to me. Scared of all possible bad outcomes, worried about leaving my mom and how that would impact her. Worried that I would come out of surgery not me anymore. This is what cancer can look like."
Shannen first announced that she had breast cancer in 2015 and was later said to have gone into remission. However, it was revealed that it had returned in 2019.
