A teenager died after leaving an ambulance on a motorway and being hit by a car, police have reported.

The body was discovered between junction 20 at the Almondsbury Interchange with the M5 and junction 21, near Awkley, in South Gloucestershire - the M4 and M48 were initially closed but have now reopened.
