A glamorous prison officer accused of having an “inappropriate relationship” with a male inmate at HMP Belmarsh has appeared in court.

10,000 prison officers will be provided with body armour following a series of high-profile attacks, the Justice Secretary has announced.

Axel Rudakubana is reportedly receiving luxury perks at one of Britain’s most notorious high-security jails as ’bribes’ to encourage good behavior after allegedly throwing boiling water over a prison officer.

He might be transferred today from HMP Belmarsh, South East London, where the scalding attack occurred on Thursday.
