Our fashion expert Bethan Shufflebotham managed to get her hands on the pieces before the official launch - so read on to what she thought, and what she’ll be buying come Tuesday - not to mention an exclusive sneak peek as to what’s to come in November, hello party season pieces!

“If there’s one trend that has me in a chokehold this year it’s the waistcoat. Frankie Bridge is rocking it, Rochelle Humes is owning it, and Rita Ora’s tailored pieces in this collab are slaying it. This creamy oat milk shade is one that will work for everyone and I love how you can pair the waistcoat with jeans and skirts, but also wear it open over midi dresses. But if you’re cultivating a capsule wardrobe, Rita has you covered, with a matching blazer, shorts and these wide leg trousers so you can mix and match to your hearts content. There’s at least 10 combinations I can think of wearing these four pieces together and separately, really making your wardrobe do the work for you. Oh and this brown shoulder bag? It’s giving Prada Cleo and I need it.”

“Denim midi skirts is another trend I’ve fallen hard for this year. I’ve already got one from Emily Atack’s New Look edit, but this one could well find itself in my wardrobe too. I adore the panelling on it, and the darker wash gives it those cosy autumn vibes, especially when paired with a long boot like these oh-so-in-style cowboy babes. And can we talk about the detail on this knit? The black stitching really elevates this piece making it look way more spenny than it is, perfect for those looking to update their wardrobe on a budget.”

“This TRENCH. My life, autumn 2023 is the year of the chocolate coloured jacket - especially after River Island’s leather number sold out in the blink of an eye. I’ll be heading straight to my local store on Tuesday to snag this for myself. Having tried it on, too, it feels super premium, the 10/12 was roomy enough to wear a jumper under (I’m usually a 10), and the detail is dreamy. It’s literally screaming quiet luxury - obsessed isn’t even the word.”

“If a cropped jacket is more your vibe, this aviator is beautiful. The texture of the faux leather is so convincing and the shearing is super soft. Love the belt detail, too. I’m thinking this with a mini skirt, the slouchy boots and this white croc print bag - it’s so celeb inspired without the expensive price tag. And if you thought the Uniqlo crossbody was a Tardis? This bag fits everything but the kitchen sink inside.”

“Looking ahead to Christmas party season, this black mesh dress with floral design is the ultimate slinky piece to add to your wardrobe. With these designer inspired heels and glitzy earrings, it’s perfect for standing at the bar sipping on a glass of fizz. But equally, I think it can easily be dressed down with a blazer and trainers for a smart casual vibe, or throw a knit over and wear it as a midaxi skirt. One piece worn three ways - girl math makes it basically free, right?”

“Finally, the most effortlessly chic cargo trousers will be available to shop in November and I'm already dreaming about them, I’m not convinced I can wait that long! Made in an ultra-soft satin material, these will likely replace your favourite jeans and are easily dressed up or down no matter what is in your social calendar. I love them with this glitzy blazer and strappy shoes for Christmas party season.”
