TUI has issued an update for Brits with holidays booked in coming weeks after parts of Europe have been hit with severe weather.
In recent weeks, intense storms have battered hotspots across the likes of Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria with severe flooding and record-breaking rainfall, prompting the Foreign Office to update its travel advice for anyone planning a trip to some of the popular destinations.
It comes after a summer where Greece was also hit by wildfires on the island of Rhodes, as well as the region around Athens.

As a result, the holiday giant has issued a statement to reassure customers that it would be in "direct contact" if weather does affect a trip.

A statement from the brand read: "We are currently seeing unusual adverse weather conditions in a small number of destinations across Europe which we know is causing concern for some of our customers due to travel.
"Please be assured that we actively monitor weather conditions in all the destinations we visit to be sure it is safe for our customers and colleagues. Should there be any concerns about a destination then we will be in direct contact with customers with options for their holiday.
"This might be a change in travel date or the option to change their holiday to a different destination. Our priority is looking after our customers and ensuring they have a safe and happy holiday."
It's not just TUI that shared an update for holidaymakers. Earlier this week Ryanair issued a warning for anyone travelling to and from Spain, after regions including Madrid, Segovia and the island of Majorca were under a yellow warning for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms on Thursday.
A Ryanair spokesperson said: "Some potential delays to/from Spain today (Thursday, September 14) due to thunderstorms. Affected passengers will be notified and any passengers travelling to/from Spain today should check the Ryanair app for flight updates before travelling to the airport.
"We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers by these thunderstorms which are outside of Ryanair’s control and affect all airlines operating to/from Spain today, Thursday, September 14."
Weather warnings are expected to remain in place today although the forecast is expected to clear by Saturday.
The alert comes as the typically warm and sunny countries struggles with the impact of a strong thunderstorm which hit earlier this week. Severe thunderstorms affected the towns of Nules, Burriana and Almassora.
