Kerry Katona signs up as a Gogglebox star with unlikely companion and huge twist
Kerry Katona is making a career move to become a professional couch potato - after landing a role as a new member of Celebrity Gogglebox.
But fans in the UK wanting to hear the 43-year-old OnlyFans star share her opinion on the week of telly won’t actually be able to tune in when her episodes air. And that is because the former singer will be appearing on the Irish version of Gogglebox - which airs on Virgin Media One across on the Emerald Isle.
Derry Girls star Tommy Tiernan, TV presenter Hector O hEochagain and radio broadcaster Laurita Blewitt are among other famous names being added to the roster of Ireland’s Celebrity Gogglebox edition. While Kerry herself will be joining Irish comedian and writer Alison Spittle on her sofa to watch the best TV has to offer.
Speaking about featuring on the show - and of having Kerry as her sofa companion - Alison said: “I love Gogglebox, I’ve always wondered what it was like to watch telly on telly like a TV turducken. Delighted to show Kerry the glamorous delights of Moate and the surrounding environs of Westmeath, failing that we’ll just watch TV.”

Although Kerry is famously from Cheshire in England, she does have some pretty strong links to Ireland. Her ex-husband is none other than former Westlife star Brian McFadden with whom she shares two children.
And the ex-couple’s eldest daughter, Molly Marie, even lived in Ireland and attended school in Dublin. While 43-year-old Brian regularly rakes 22-year-old Molly and Molly 20-year-old second daughter, Lily-Sue, back to Ireland for visits.
Kerry rose to fame as a member of chart topping girl band Atomic Kitten at the end of the 1990s. But in more recent years, fans have been able to see a lot more of Kerry after she turned to OnlyFans to boost her income during the pandemic.
The star has explained previously that she has employed the help of her daughters to take racy photographs of her which she then shares with fans online for a fee. And it seems to have been a shrewd business move for the former singer - as she has reportedly raked in more than £1 million after selling content via the raunchy platform.
In July this year, Kerry claimed one of her extended family members had been encouraged to join OnlyFans to share content after seeing the phenomenal success she has enjoyed. Taking to Instagram at the time, the star claimed her brother-in-law David Lehan wanted to get in on the money-making scheme.
Shared a few pictures of him cheekily lifting up his shirt to expose his stomach and chest, Kerry wrote: "Very excited to announce my brother-in-law is starting up An only fans account go follow for more content @davidlehan46."
