A man has been arrested after a woman was hit by a car moments after two people were attacked near the site of burned-down pub the Crooked House.

A man and woman were assaulted by a group of people while in the area on Saturday night, five weeks after a fire ravaged the building. The group got into a car but were obstructed. Then, the car collided with a woman at the scene near Dudley, West Midlands. She was not seriously injured, police confirmed today.

Officers today stated a 57-year-old man, from West Bromwich, West Midlands, has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage.

Another man has been voluntarily interviewed as Staffordshire Police continues to investigate the disorder. Police continue to talk to this man, who is in his 40s and from Sandwell, West Midlands.
