Get your Brighton 'Albion in Europe' 2023-24 souvenir special

The moment Brighton fans have been waiting for is almost here as Roberto De Zerbi and Co. are preparing to embark on the club’s first European adventure.

Albion will be playing in the Europa League this season, as well as competing for the top spots in the Premier League and for silverware in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

The Seagulls enjoyed an excellent 2022/23 season that saw them finish sixth in the table, with the reward for that being able to host European nights at the Amex Stadium and travelling overseas in their bid to make a big impact in their maiden continental campaign.

It’s been a busy summer of transfer activity preparing for the added fixtures that come with playing in a fourth competition, with De Zerbi adding experience to his squad in the shape of James Milner and Mahmoud Dahoud, plus exciting young players in Joao Pedro, Bart Verburggen and Carlos Baleba.

Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister both leaving was to be expected and they will be missed, but the surprise loan arrival of Barcelona’s 20-year-old forward Ansu Fati late in the window has filled fans with optimism for the season ahead.
