Dubbed the UK's answer to The Met Gala, Vogue World is set to be a star-studded style extravaganza .

The event will act as a fundraiser for Britain's performing arts scene and at the helm is Vogue's Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. Tonight stars from the modelling world, actors and musicians will descend on the capital for a night of glitz and glamour. The first ever Vogue World took place last year in New York's meatpacking district as a rough-and-ready fashion show and street food fair.

They paid homage to the city's culture and had performances from Old Town Road hitmaker Lil Nas X and the Hadid sisters as well as 112 models strutting down the runway to Madonna's Vogue. To top it all off the street food market was run by couture houses with gourmet cookies from Gucci and high tea by Burberry. So, what can we expect as Vogue World comes to the UK?

Where will it be?

Thursday's extravagant event will take place at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London’s West End. The fundraising element is much the same as the Met Gala, as money raised will go to the performing arts scene. Anna Wintour has insisted the industry is "under threat" and so all net proceeds from ticket sales will go to a range of performing arts organisations. Those set to be in receipt of the money include the National Theatre, Royal Opera House and the Royal Ballet.

What happens at the event?

Just like the Met Gala, there is a red carpet outside of the theatre where celebrities show off their style in the latest Spring Summer 2024 couture. Those lucky enough to get tickets will watch live performances overseen by The Crown's director Stephen Daldry, followed by a catwalk show featuring collections from British fashion labels like 16Arlington, Burberry and Vivienne Westwood to kick off London Fashion Week, which starts this Friday. Other details of the event have remained under wraps but there could be live performances from acting and musician greats.

The theme

The dress code for Vogue World is Opening Night, with the invitation’s design showed a West End stage covered by blood-red velvet curtains. Much can be left up to the imagination for the celeb attendees, so expect some wild and stunning outfits.

Who will be there?

There will be plenty of A-listers at the 2,000 capacity event. British supermodels will be in attendance including Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne and Adwoa Aboah. It’s likely Naomi Campbell will play a leading role, given that she appeared in the original marketing campaign for the event. Stormzy, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham as well as actors Ian McKellen and Idris Elba are also said to be getting involved.

Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley, Sienna Miller, Emilia Clarke and Kate Winslet will also show their support, while musician FKA Twigs is expected to participate in some capacity since she was also included in Vogue’s announcement. All eyes are expected to be on rapper Stormzy and who he might bring as a date as he recently confirmed he was back on with TV presenter Maya Jama, to the delight of fans.
