As Kanye West is being sued over alleged labour violations, a former employee alleged that Kanye requested to reside in unliveable conditions inside his unfinished home - wanting to shower outside, defecate into a hole in the floor, and live with no electricity in an effort to live "off the grid" and "hide from the government".

The alleged labour violations include Kanye reportedly forcing employees to sleep in "makeshift conditions" inside his unfinished Malibu house.

Tony Saxon, the plaintiff in the case claimed that he started his employment with the rapper around September 2021. He was employed as a "a full-time security and a live-in caretaker" however claimed Kanye "utilised him for construction-related tasks".

Tony also claims he refused to comply with dangerous and strange demands from Kanye. In an interview with The Mirror, Tony claimed: "The man wanted to poop into a hole in the floor…He wanted to basically live in what at the beginning I thought was supposed to be just an art project."

Tony continued: "I thought that he wanted to take out these windows and electricity, oxygen, so he could have this open concept living space that wasn't necessarily meant for dwelling. I was pretty sure this was just supposed to be something for an art piece or to go there from time to time and whatever."

But as Tony continued working on the project he claimed it became clear that Kanye wanted to stay there. Tony alleged: "As I moved along in the project and he started saying ‘No, I want to live here. I think I'm gonna live here’ and I was living there. It's pretty absurd to think that anybody…I mean the man wanted a shower outside, no plumbing, pooping into a hole in the floor."

Kanye's requests became more and more bizarre as Tony claimed the rapper asked him to remove the electricity from his new $55million (£44million) home. Tony said: "Also no stairs. Ramps, and no electricity, which he got angry with me [about] because he wanted me to remove the electricity without him deciding on which alternate source of power he would like to be, quote unquote 'off the grid' or this has to be off the grid to hide from the government."

The lawsuit alleged that when Tony "expressed concerns about the extreme danger of such actions", Kanye "threatened" him, labelling him as an "enemy if he did not comply". The lawsuit said: "[Tony] chose not to put others and himself at risk and was subsequently told by Defendant to 'get the hell out.'"

In the lawsuit Tony filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court - the former employee is alleging disability discrimination, violations of multiple labor codes, including dangerous working conditions, unpaid wages and reimbursements, and wrongful retaliatory termination.

A statement from Tony's team states that the home was left "rotting in shambles with no windows or electricity" when he left the project. The Mirror has contacted Kanye's spokesman for comment.
