The first Starfield update is now available to download, with the hotfix focusing on stability improvements and issues with quest blockers.

One week after Bethesda's Xbox-exclusive AAA title was officially launched worldwide after an early access period, Starfield has got its first update in the form of a hotfix, that specifically focuses on stability, performance improvements and quest bugs. And with players reporting Starfield crashing on Xbox Series X and PC in the last few days, it's not come a moment too soon, but it doesn't look like the update fixes the infinite money glitch.

Here are all the changes included in Starfield update 1.7.29.

Starfield update 1.7.29 patch notes

Starfield update 1.7.29 is available now to download for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles with the update coming in at 2.6GB in size, and although we haven't confirmed it ourselves, it's likely that this update is like for PC players too. Bethesda confirmed the launch of Starfield's first update in a blog post, with the publisher also stating that this update will be the first of many and that this game will be supported for "years and years to come".

It went on to say that they've been listening to all of the recent feedback from players and that it would 'love to' implement community-requested features like city maps in future, but will focus on top blocker bugs and stability issues first.
