Top Boy fans stunned as actor seen starring alongside Rihanna in music video
Top Boy fans have noticed that one of the series' characters starred in Rihanna's music video for We Found Love in 2011 and unearthed the actor in action alongside the hit singer in re-discovered clips.
Dudley O'Shaughnessy, 33, who plays the ruthless London Fields gangster Si, was the male lead in Rihanna's music video, which some fans thought was a nod to Rihanna's ex Chris Brown at the time. Dudley gets up close and personal with the R&B hitmaker to the point where they are seen locked in quite an intimate embrace in one of the scenes. Fast-forward 12 years and it looks as though Dudley is in the spotlight again as he appeared in one of the major storylines in the final season of the Netflix drama.

In one gut-wrenching scene Sully, played by rapper Kano, brutally threatened Si, shoving a gun in his mouth, after being told he had stolen drugs for his London Fields spot. But, the thief was soon exposed as grief-stricken Jaq, who had taken the drugs in anger following her sister's tragic death from an overdose.
As Netflix fans watched the newly-released final series on the streaming platform, some soon noticed Si was a familiar face. Taking to social media fans couldn't believe what they spotted. One said: "Can't believe I just clocked si from top boy was in Rihanna's we found love music video." [sic]

[sic] And a third added: "ur telling me si from top boy is the same guy in rihanna's music vid from 2011?" [sic] While a fourth jumped in to comment: "si from top boy was definitely rihanna's bf in we found love video right.'" [sic]

Dudley joined the show in 2019 and was part of Jamie Tovell's gang that controlled the London Fields area. And between the London Fields gang and Sully's gang, the rivalry was intense. In the last series Sully shot and killed Jamie, played by Michael Ward, on his doorstep in front of his younger brothers Stef and Aaron.
But Dudley has more than one string to his bow. He is also a ABA welterweight boxing champion and model and walked in the Balmain X H&M Collection Launch in 2015.
It looks as though most of the actors in the drama series have more to them than meets the eye. Ashley Walters, who plays Dushane, credits his 18-month stint in prison for becoming the person he is today. In 2002, when he was 19 years old, he was arrested and charged when police found a loaded gun in his car. But he has said that, if his arrest had not happened, he would never have been in the show. And he feels he has a duty to help those who are heading in the same troublesome direction as he was as a teen.
Speaking to The Times he said: "The only positive is that I can now help somebody who is about to make the same mistake. But it's part of the journey. If my arrest had never happened I wouldn't have been in Top Boy. I'll never stop trying to right the wrongs I have done, but some things you've got to let go. I was growing up with something good happening, then something bad came round the corner."
