Floyd Mayweather fight tickets were available for just £5 as fans stayed away from his exhibition with Aaron Chalmers.
The boxing legend made his first appearance in the UK last night when he touched gloves in his latest money-spinning event with Geordie Shore star Chalmers. Ticket sales were poor in the build-up to the event which was held at London's O2 arena, with many available online before fans were then offered a 20 per cent discount.
As the main event approached, there were huge swathes of empty seats all around the arena and they failed to fill up by the time both Mayweather and Chalmers made their ring walk. However this was not despite the best attempts of a ticketing promotional company who made tickets available for just £4.95 according to a report by Sky Sports.
Others were also reported to have been offered special promotional deals to attend the event in the short run-up to its start time, which was significantly delayed in a bid to fill the arena. Despite the lack of attendance in the arena, Mayweather was surprisingly warmed by UK fans and praised the small crowd for playing their part in the fight.
He said after the fight: "I would like to thank all the fans in the UK. The fans are unbelievable. This guy [Chalmers] is tough as nails, we had a chance to come together. I came to entertain the people and I'm glad I came. I have a lot of experience. He has to continue to work hard and believe in himself. He's got a tough chin - anything is possible."

Mayweather comfortably outboxed his rival who was simply happy to survive the distance with the boxing legend, who stopped YouTube star Deji in his previous exhibition. It remains to be seen what is next for the 46-year-old who has continued to fight despite his time in the professional ranks ending in 2017.

His last exhibition against Chalmers has clearly failed to attract the interest of the public, and the former 50-0 star is unwilling to risk his record to come back for a professional fight. Mayweather has now revealed that he may have broken his hand during the contest which could hinder any further showcases this year.
He said at the post-fight press conference: "We razzle, we dazzle. I hurt my hand actually. [It was] when I was breaking with the hook. A lot of people don’t know. When I was breaking with the hook, that’s boxing language, I hurt my left hand, bad. It could be broke. We’re not worried. I’m still able to use the left.
You have to use the jab to set everything up. He was tough, he can take everything on the chin. This guy is tough as nails, I came over to the UK to entertain the people. We had fun for eight rounds and I’m glad that I came. What he has to do is work hard and believe in his skills."
