The ex-husband of a mum who took her own life is taking legal action against a TikToker who alleged domestic abuse had taken place.

Robbie Harvey, a social-media personality from Florida whose has covered relationships, posted more than 20 videos in June featuring a New York lawyer named Allan Kassenoff.

Mr Harvey, who has more than three million TikTok followers, alleged to show footage of altercations between Mr Kassenoff and his estranged wife, Catherine Youssef Kassenoff. It was claimed she had publicly shared them in a Facebook post soon before her death in an assisted suicide.

Mr Kassenoff's attorneys have written: “With a few clicks of his keyboard and a video uploaded to TikTok, Defendant Robert Harvey financially destroyed Plaintiff Allan Kassenoff."

The complaint, filed in Florida's district court on September 5, is reportedly more than 100 pages long and, as well as focusing on Mr Harvey, includes intimate details about Mr Kassenoff's marriage,

Mr Harvey was allegedly notified of the case by his followers after she sent an email to "numerous judges, attorneys, friends, and victims of what she felt was misconduct and corruption in the family and matrimonial courts — just before she committed assisted suicide," one of Mr Harvey's attorneys Jonathan Davidoff told Insider.

Within that email was a link to a Dropbox folder, it is reported, containing documents, pictures, recordings, and videos documenting the Kassenoffs' marriage. Mr Harvey never spoke with Catherine Kassenoff.

In the suicide note, which was later deleted but is published in the lawsuit, Catherine Kassenoff, who was 54, allegedly claimed she would be ending her own life as she was terminally ill with cancer.

Through a divorce and custody battle, Mr Kassenoff was granted sole physical custody of his and his wife's children in 2020 by the Westchester County Court, and Catherine Kassenoff was granted supervised visits.

In a lawsuit filed last week, which has been seen by the New York Post, Kassenoff claims the videos led to financial and emotional ruin.

'With a few clicks of his keyboard and a video uploaded to TikTok, Defendant Robert Harvey financially destroyed Plaintiff Allan Kassenoff,' his attorneysalleged.

'And, even worse, irreparably harmed Mr. Kassenoff's three young children… by forcing them into a life where their identities will forever be associated with a bitter and ugly divorce and the suicide of their mother.'

The courts found no evidence of domestic violence and gave Kassenoff sole custody of his three daughters,.
