Michelle Visage has revealed her husband and daughter have just completed ketamine therapy for depression, hailing the controversial treatment as "a game changer."

The RuPaul's Drag Race judge appeared on the Where There's a Will, There's a Wake podcast on Monday for a candid chat with host Kathy Burke on how she'd spend her final day on Earth.

In a conversation about her sobriety, Michelle disclosed that, with the exception of smoking pot in high school, she had 'never taken a drug' in her life. The 54-year-old did express her support for supervised drug treatment, however, revealing that her husband Casey and their daughter had recently undergone ketamine therapy for their depression.

"It is a game changer, for those who haven't read about it," Michelle told Kathy, "changing your life for the better." "My husband and my daughter just completed ketamine therapy. I don't know the progress you've made here in the UK with it...but it's almost, now popping up on every corner."

Michelle has been married to David Case since 1997, having first been introduced to the former soap actor in Central Park, New York, by a mutual friend. The showbiz couple went on to have two children together, Lillie, 23, and Lola, 21. Michelle opened up about her eldest daughter's struggle with mental illness in a 2019 interview, revealing that she "lost a lot of her teenage years" to depression and was even "suicidal for a while."

"She's really flourishing now," the former Strictly star said, before adding, "She's been three years on the other side now." Michelle, who is vegan and gluten-free, also admitted that she had initially tried "a holistic approach" to treating Lillie's depression, but later realised that the aspiring writer needed "medication and therapy" to recover. David and Michelle's younger daughter, Lola, has also struggled with depression.

Elsewhere in the interview, Michelle revealed that she had been entirely sober since her early 20s. The Emmy Award winner explained that she disliked the lack of control caused by taking substances, insisting, "Drugs have never been good."

"I've never taken a drug in my life, even when I was popstar...the last alcoholic drink I had was when I was 21," she told Kathy. "I didn't like it...People think that I do drugs and that I drink all the time," she said, before admitting, "The few times that I've been drunk in my life...I'm actually a very fun drunk."

Michelle also spoke about her commitment to 'clean-living' during the interview, and how she hopes her healthy lifestyle will pay off in giving her a "peaceful" death.

"I am very committed to living to about 120," she said. "Agile and sanity. I want to be of sound mind. It was time, so I went in my sleep. I'd like it to be peaceful, surrounded by the people that I love and admire."
