Kevin Federline allegedly wants Britney Spears to up her child support cheques for their sons, who both live with him. He's allegedly even considering getting the court involved.

In their original custody agreement, the exes were set to split custodial time with their children, Jayden James and Sean Preston. However, over the years the two kids have spent much more time with their father. In fact, they reportedly haven't seen Britney in over a year.

Plus, in just a couple of weeks, Sean Preston will turn 18 and Britney will no longer be required by law to send aid. While an insider said that Kevin current receives $40k per month, that will likely drop to around half if the court does not intervene.

A source told TMZ that Kevin feels if he is acting as the full-time parent, then he should receive more financial support. Despite reportedly encouraging his sons to visit their mother, he didn't force them. As a result, they didn't even say goodbye before Kevin moved the family out to Hawaii.

Britney reportedly chose not to challenge the move, even though it took her children out of state and away from her. She also isn't opposed to helping out her children. She is, however, thankful that she won't be cutting a cheque straight to Kevin anymore, it has been reported. A source told the DailyMail: "Britney is relieved that Sean is turning 18 on September 14 because she is tired of paying Kevin the insane amount of money he is getting."

The move to Hawaii did not automatically change the custody agreement. In Hawaii, child support cheques can extend beyond a child's 18th birthday in certain situations. However, since the decision was made in California, that state will forever have jurisdiction over the agreement, as per a 2016 law revision.

Britney is also going through other legal battles right now. She is currently in the process of a divorce from Sam Asghari. The pair split last month. There is a prenup in place to protect Britney's assets, so he "gets no pay out in the event of divorce", according to reports.

The Mirror contacted Britney's publicist for comment.
