Scott Mills was spotted looking worse for wear as he prepared to board a train from Northumberland to London after watching chart topping star Calvin Harris and radio host Vick Hope get married.

The 50-year-old BBC Radio 2 star was one of many celebrities who attended the star studded ceremony – which was held at Hulne Priory in Alnwick on Saturday. Family, friends and famous faces watched on as 39-year-old Calvin – whose real name is Adam Wiles – and 33-year-old Vick swapped vows and became husband and wife.

The ceremony was followed by an extravagant Glastonbury-style party, which included a performance by iconic ‘80s band Chic. But the celebrations seemed to cause heavy hangovers – and Scott was looking far from his best when he was papped on his way home on Sunday.

The radio star was spotted with his head in his hands as he faced a rickety train ride back to the capital – with fellow radio stars Vernon Kay and Roman Kemp for company. He was dressed in black and looked mildly exasperated as he meandered through a train station parking lot.

Vernon, 49, and Roman, 30, looked decidedly more energised as they basked in the afternoon sun – also wearing dark clothing. Other photos showed the boys all looking happy together – after what was reportedly an unforgettable wedding weekend.

Reports following the nuptials revealed that Calvin and Vick shared self-written vows at the ceremony and a range of poems were read out to the gathered witnesses. Huge plants, wicker chandeliers and an “enormous plastic giraffe” set the tone for the post-wedding celebrations as the reception was held in an enchanting, staged area. While 70-year-old Nile Rodgers and his band, Chic, belted out triumphant songs as the celebrations carried on into the night. Tracks on the set-list included a cover of Luther Vandross’s 1981 song Never Too Much – and concluded with the 1979 Chic hit Good Times.

A source from the wedding shared further details of the celebrations and frivolity. They told The Sun: “Calvin and Vick’s wedding was a day none of their guests will ever forget. Their vows were really emotional and the marriage ceremony included poems like Ernest Hemmingway’s If There’s Empty Spaces In Your Heart and Lori Eberhai’s Devoted. They didn’t stop smiling all day. Calvin and Vick are so clearly madly in love, it was a truly beautiful day.”

Other guests at the bash included Big Brother presenter AJ Odudu and Vick's Radio 1 co-star Jordan North. While podcaster Chris Ramsey and his wife, Rosie, were also among the guests.
