Carol Vorderman has revealed exactly how she manages dating multiple men and shared the one rule all her "special friends" must obey by.

The Celebrity Gogglebox star, 62, previously described one of her marriages as 'happy' and the other as 'unhappy', as the proudly single maths guru revealed she prefers the company of "special friends" these days rather than ever considering walking down the aisle for the third time.

Speaking in a new interview, Carol goes into detail about her romantic arrangements - revealing how the men never come to her house and sharing the title women who refuse to settle should be given. During the candid chat, the mum-of-two also admits she has "Botox and a lot of treatments to my face and neck. Everyone does."

Carol was first married in 1985 at age 24 to Christopher Mather, a Royal Navy officer, but the pair split after just 12 months together. The former Countdown star went on to tie the knot with management consultant Patrick King in 1990 at age 30, with the couple welcoming two children into the world together before going their separate ways in 2000.

These days, Carol doesn't have the desire for another full-time relationship and prefers casual romances with several men whom she refers to as her "special friends". Quizzed about the set-up by The Times, Carol shares how she manages to keep the men out of the public eye, declaring: "They never come to my house. I’m not dumb!"

Carol's interviewer then goes on to ask how the star manages her dating system. "What if two turn up at the same time? Are some graded 'very special' and get to pull rank over those who are just 'a little bit special?'" Carol assures her interviewer it "all sorts itself out" and adds: "A lot of men ask me if they can be my special friend and I have to say, it doesn’t work like that."

The This Morning contributor continues to reveal how the men in her life are all adult and single and people she's come to know over the years. Carol adds how her male counterparts - men who date multiple women - are referred to as "players", whereas a suitable and flattering term for women who do the same doesn't exist.

"My women friends who are divorced or widowed feel the same. We’d only end up having to do the caring," Carol shares after admitting she would find a full-time relationship "a bore". The Pride of Britain presenter adds: "I’ve nothing to apologise for, so live without apology."

Speaking on This Morning last year, Carol opened up about her love life while offering dating advice to a caller alongsider her pal Gyles Brandreth and hosts Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond. As Gyles admitted he had been "blessed" meeting his now-wife, he explained how he and Carol are on "different journey" - telling his pal: "Your line of life has been different."

"It has been different," Carol agreed while speaking on the ITV show in October. "I've been married twice. First one was not happy, second one was very happy and then it ended." She went on to add: I'm a great believer in chapters of my life, and some are extended chapters and some aren't. "I now, the last ten years or so, live a very much freer life where I have special friends and I am not looking for one person."
