Martin Odegaard handed praise from title rival as Arsenal let two stars leave
Arsenal have earned a break after their near-perfect start to the season, though a number of members of their squad have big international games to contend with.
Eddie Nketiah could make his senior England debut during the break, having joined up with Gareth Southgate's squad after an impressive start to the season. He isn't the only Gunner in the England squad, while others are in line to feature in Europe or further afield.
While the transfer window has shut in most countries, there are a few loose ends to tie up for Edu and the Arsenal higher-ups. Internationals and transfers both feature in the latest news lines from around the Emirates Stadium.
Pepe off to Trabzonspor
Former record signing Nicolas Pepe has left Arsenal, joining Turkish side Trabzonspor. The £72m man is moving to the Super Lig on a free, despite having a year left on his Arsenal deal.
Pepe cost the Gunners £72m when he joined from Lille in 2019. He fell out of favour under Mikel Arteta, though, and spent last season on loan at Nice.

Odegaard hailed by Haaland
Manchester City star Erling Haaland has been a rival of Martin Odegaard on the pitch. He's good friends with his fellow Norway international, though, and was full of praise for the Arsenal captain at the PFA Player of the Year awards.

"Odegaard, my good friend," Haaland said when asked who he rates highly. "He's amazing and he's been taking so many good steps at Arsenal with [Mikel] Arteta ever since he came there and now he's the captain."
Haaland and Odegaard are together on international duty as Norway chase a crucial victory on Tuesday. Stale Solbakken's team didn't have a Euro 2024 qualifier on Friday, but three points in the next game against Georgia are crucial in their quest for a top-two finish in their group.
Flores on the move
Marcelo Flores arrived in Monterrey this week ahead of a move to Tigres, Mexican media confirmed. The Arsenal youngster is due to join the Liga MX side in a cut-price move, with the deal yet to be completed at the time of writing.
19-year-old Mexican international Flores joined Arsenal in 2019, but never made a senior appearance in a competitive fixture. He has three senior caps for his country, though, having opted to represent Mexico over his birth country of Canada.
Tigres, who are based in Nuevo Leon, won the Liga MX final in May. Flores will be joining a squad that includes former Argentina international goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman and veteran French striker Andre-Pierre Gignac.
