As festival-goers fled the Nevada desert in a chaotic scene, more mayhem has broken out at Burning Man.

As they waited in lengthy lines to exit the desert, participants "lashed out" at one another, according to Pershing County Sheriff.

“As usually happens in what Burners refer to as the ‘default world’ people allow their emotions to override their reasonableness and they are lashing out at each other as they leave the playa,” Sheriff Jerry Allen said.

According to a social media account linked to the festival, the wait time to depart the playa is predicted to be 3.5 hours.

Meanwhile, 32-year-old Leon Reece was revealed to be the man who died. Although the precise cause and manner of Reece's death are still under investigation, drug intoxication was suspected, according to a statement released on Tuesday by the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office. The authorities also refuted the hoax that an Ebola breakout occurred during the festival.

After the annual Black Rock Desert festival concluded this week, locals of a well-liked stopover for Burning Man visitors have complained about illegal waste being deposited in the neighbourhood.

In the days following the addition of Burning Man in 2022, tents, food, and alcohol bottles have all been seen near Lake Tahoe on the California-Nevada border and neighbouring Reno, Nevada, according to shop owners, locals, and officials.
