Jack Whitehall's girlfriend Roxy Horner gives birth to couple's first child
Jack Whitehall's girlfriend, Roxy Horner, has given birth to the couple's first child. The model, 32, and the comedian, 35, were snapped leaving the Lindo Wing at St Mary's hospital in London carrying their newborn baby girl in a car seat.
TV funnyman Jack proudly clutched the carrier as he supported Roxy, walking hand-in-hand as they headed home on Tuesday night. Both sported a dressed-down attire as they exited the hospital, famous for his Royal Family births.
Wearing all-black sunglasses and a relaxed striped top, Roxy followed doting dad Jack to a parked car as they left for their home in west London. The comedian looked relaxed as he carefully carried the pair's child, wearing a blue hoodie and grey cap.
The pictures, obtained by MailOnline, show the two climbing into the black vehicle before being taken home. It comes after Roxy revealed the baby's gender live on TV when she was guest of Steph's Packed Lunch back in June.
Sharing the happy news, she said: "We are having a little girl. We have thought of some names but I feel like there are none that are really sticking out." When asked by host Steph McGovern if she was nervous, the model mused: "Weirdly no, maybe I should be? I am just very excited. I have always wanted a baby and a family so it’s always been on the cards."
Maya Jama signs up for new TV show with Jack Whitehall after Love Island successRoxy's gender news came after Jack joked he was only having a baby to shut his mum up because she's pestered him so much about starting a family. Admitting the prospect of parenthood filled him "with a lot of trepidation", he said: "I have been trying to change. I always thought I had a fear of change, but actually I have just had a fear of responsibility and I’ve been trying to not live my life galvanised by fear."
However, he admitted he wasn't sure what to expect because 'advice from other parents' has "no middle ground". Speaking at Cliffs Pavilion in Southend, Essex, as part of his Settle Down tour, he mused: "You ask them about having a kid and they talk about it with demented enthusiasm and they say, 'You’ve got to do it. It will change your life'."
Jack met Roxy in 2020 while visiting Australia for a work trip. The couple's bond quickly grew during the COVID-19 pandemic, when they decided to hunker down together at the British comic's Notting Hill pad in lockdown. The surreal experience gave both parties the opportunity to get to know each other quicker than usual as they had plenty to look forward to once the restrictions lifted. Speaking about the experience, Jack said: "Weirdly that was quite nice because we spent a lot of time together and it accelerates the relationship in a way."
The couple announced they were expecting their first child together in May, taking to social media to share the happy news, posting a black and white photo of them holding an ultrasound of their unborn daughter. Commenting on the post, Jack joked: "And I thought I wasn't getting enough attention when the dog arrived…", referring to the rescue cavapoo he adopted with Roxy in 2021.
