Helen Flanagan has hailed her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair as 'the best thing that ever happened to me' in a recent video, calling their relationship "really special."

The former Coronation Street star took to TikTok last week to share her experiences of dating as a single mum, eleven months on from the shocking collapse of her engagement. Helen, who is best known for playing Rosie Webster on the ITV soap, separated from Bristol Rovers winger Scott in October 2022, after nearly 13-years together.

The pair welcomed three children, eight-year-old Matilda, five-year-old Delilah, and two-year-old Charlie, and are now raising them as co-parents. "I was with my ex for like...forever. I was with my ex from 19 to 31," she explains as she applies her primer in the chatty home video.

"He was like my 'one'. I remember when we first got together, I was so in love with him. He was like the best thing that ever happened to me really because he was just like, My life. We had a really nice relationship. It was really special. And obviously, we had three children together."

"We just grew apart," the 33-year-old explained. She also recalls being 'heartbroken' when they broke up for six months when she was 22, and admitted that they continued to sleep together during their 'off' period.

Despite holding the memories of her relationship with Scott fondly in her heart, Helen is now ready to move on with somebody else. She even revealed she downloaded a dating app for 'celebrities' in April, after feeling admittedly lonely on her first Valentine's Day as a bachelorette.

"It's really weird when you start dating and you've been with someone for 13 years," she admitted. "You're totally out of touch. Like, totally...I didn't have a clue what I was doing." Fans of Helen were quick to react to the candid video, with many praising the former I'm a Celebrity 2023 star for refusing to publicly bash her ex.

"You speak about Scott with such respect xx," one TikTok viewer wrote, while another said, "That was such a classy conversation. not many people do that after a split." Others were convinced, however, that Helen still harboured feelings for the English professional footballer player. "Rosie all I can hear is you still love him," one person admitted, echoing the words of another fan: "It’s obvious she isn’t over him bless her."

Helen and Scott had initially planned to marry in 2024, with the former reality TV star even revealing she'd found the location for the special event. "I have set a date. I'm so picky. I finally found my wedding venue. I don't want to give it away, but basically everybody wants this venue," she told the Mirror. "I think what it is as well as me and Scott have been together for so long. We've been together for 13 years now...I think we are probably a little bit laid back because it does feel like a marriage anyway."
