Andy Robertson becomes latest Liverpool player to speak out on Mo Salah transfer

Andy Robertson has insisted there is "no concern" among Liverpool players over the future of Mohamed Salah.
Last Thursday, the club rejected a massive £150million offer from Al-Ittihad for the 'Egyptian King', but are bracing themselves for an improved bid. A Saudi delegation reportedly arrived in the UK over the weekend, with the transfer window for their Pro League clubs not closing until September 7.
But the 31-year-old seemed unperturbed as he lined up against Aston Villa at Anfield on Sunday, scoring from close range as the Reds cruised to a 3-0 win. Neither the player or his agent have publicly dismissed the prospect of a move though, leading to growing anxiety among fans.
But left-back Robertson has moved to banish the notion the speculation is unsettling for the squad. Liverpool's win on Sunday made it 10 points from 12 thus far in the Premier League, leaving them just two points off leaders Man City.
"For us we block that out, Mo blocks it out. We let other people talk about that," he told reporters following the Villa win. "For us there is no concern. For us Mohamed Salah is a Liverpool player and we believe that is what is going to be the case for the foreseeable future."

"Our squad is what it is and that's the squad that is going to go forward now with the window shut. It is about getting the most out of the squad, it is about looking forward to the season ahead and trying to do better than what we did last season."
Robertson, 29, also praised the manner in which Salah had handled the saga, arguing his impressive showing on Sunday underlines his commitment to the club. "He's the ultimate professional. He does what it does, he is one of the best players in the world and he is professional," he added.

"He lets other people do the talking, lets other people say what they have to say, but he's always been committed to Liverpool and you saw that with this performance He's not been affected, I've been around him a lot and he's not been affected by anything. Mo has reacted in the best way possible and I think you have seen that with his performance, I think he was pretty special."
Top-flight clubs will now break for international action, with Egypt due to play an AFCON qualifier against Ethiopa on Friday before taking on Tunisia the following Tuesday. Salah however, has been permitted to miss the dead-rubber with Ethiopa in order to stay on Merseyside and sort out his future.
