TV presenter Susanna Reid has shown off a dramatic hairstyle change, ahead of her return as anchor for Good Morning Britain on ITV.

The broadcaster embraced a new shorter hairdo with a blonder and brighter colour as she posed for a mirror selfie as her summer break comes to an end. Showing off her new do, which is a world away from the long brunette style she is usually seen with, Susanna

Susanna will return to her usual spot on early morning TV as she hosts Good Morning Britain from Monday (4th September) alongside Ed Balls. She's been absent from the morning programme since July 19. The veteran presenter spent time enjoying her annual summer break from the show, leaving co-stars Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway to fill in during her absence.

In August, Susanna paid an emotional tribute to her close friend who died days after appearing on Good Morning Britain to discuss her ongoing cancer battle. Suki Thompson appeared on the 19 July, highlighting her cancer treatment and incredible fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support during the episode. But just 11 days later, Suki had sadly died, and Susanna took to social media to heap praise on her "beautiful friend" who had battled cancer four times over the last 15 years.

Sharing a photo of the order of service from Suki’s funeral, the journalist wrote: "Our beautiful friend Suki Thompson. The embodiment of strength & optimism. A passion for living life to the fullest. Go well lovely."

Her followers were quick to send their love to the grieving TV star in the comments, with one writing: "Suki was and always will be an abundance of what strength and inspiration looks like." While Susanna's GMB co-presenter Charlotte Hawkins added: "Oh no, so sad she’s gone. Sorry for you Susanna, Suki was such a special person. Sending much love."
