Stormzy 'planning to propose to Maya Jama' after telling pals she's 'The One'
Stormzy is said to have told pals he is going to propose to Maya Jama after realising she is ‘The One’.
The Vossi Bop rapper confirmed he had won back the TV presenter – who previously dated from 2015 to 2019 - after the pair were pictured enjoying a lavish £2,700-a-night holiday together in Greece to celebrate her 29th birthday earlier this month.
He flew the Love Island host out on a private jet and then helicopter to their super excusive resort, which reportedly boasted a personal chef, butler, private speedboats and a pool with its own terrace.
Their romantic holiday came days after they were spotted looking cosy at his ‘Stormzy day’ at All Points East festival in east London’s Victoria Park on August 18. However, it has since emerged the couple could have rekindled their relationship last summer after getting back in touch when Maya’s engagement with Australian basketball player Ben Simmons came to an end.

“Stormzy knows how lucky he is to have gotten Maya back and he’s determined not to lose her again,” a source told The Sun, adding: “He wants to make her his wifey for lifey. He’s telling his mates this is it for him now. He’s found ‘The One’.”
Just a year after their split Stormzy - who has always denied cheating on Maya, but admits he was “disrespectful” - publicly declared his love for the presenter and said: “I love her wholeheartedly. I’ve never loved anyone how I’ve loved her.”
He told radio host Charlamagne he would love to rekindle his relationship but didn’t know if she would take him back, saying: "I would love to be the man who she needs, I would love to do all the things that make this work. I want to marry her, I want to have her children."

Opening up about the couple, a source told The Sun: “Stormzy is really close to his mum Abigail, who has always been Maya’s biggest fan. Abigail wants the best for her son and motivated him to make amends with Maya."
Last year, Stormzy - real name Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr – said in interviews that losing Maya was the “biggest loss” he had experienced. He told his break-up with Maya still weighed heavy on his heart saying: “I’d never experienced a break-up and the feelings that come with a break-up.
“And I never wanted to ever be in a position again where I felt what I was feeling. Because it showed me that I was a boy. And I do not want to go any further as a boy. I’ve seen how that manifests in other people and I don’t want to be like that.”
In a separate interview with Louis Theroux, Stormzy blamed himself for the split and said: “My break-up was probably the biggest catalyst for my growth as a man. It was like, ‘OK, you made a mistake and you lose someone you loved, someone you cared for, someone who is special to you. That’s probably the biggest loss a man can have, isn’t it? Away from someone passing away, that’s the biggest loss you can have. The whole f***ing palaver that surrounded that situation. I didn’t do what a man should do to fully appreciate love, and care for his woman.”
