Dani Dyer called a w***er by football fans - but Jarrod had perfect response
Dani Dyer was called a w***er by football fans as her boyfriend Jarrod Bowen helped secure West Ham’s 2-1 win against Luton to top the Premier League last night.
The Love Island star has been the subject of football chants since she started dating the star player back in 2021. She announced she was pregnant in January this year and in May, gave birth to twin girls, Star and Summer.
But out on the terraces she has had to deal with abuse directed at her by football fans – something partner Jarrod has addressed during games and been praised by West Ham boss David Moyes for.
As Jarrod scored West Ham’s opening goal against Luton at an away game on Friday, fans sang songs including the words “Jarrod Bowen, your girlfriend’s a w***er” - but Jarrod, 26, had the perfect response to defend girlfriend Dani, 27.
The right winger held his finger up to his mouth to shush fans who were hurling abuse at his other half. Saying he did the right thing, Hammers boss Moyes said after their win: “What do you do? You go and you score and you know that answers the questions.

Jarrod took his goal well. He was always a threat. He’s started the season in good goal-scoring form.”
It’s not the first time Dani has faced abuse from fans at football matches since she went public with Jarrod in December 2021. Prior to that she had been in relationships with Love Island’s Jack Fincham and conman Sammy Kimmence, who she shares two-year-old son Santiago with.
Earlier this summer, she broke her silence after a colourful West Ham chant about her and Jarrod, sung to the tune of Gala’s Freed From Desire. The mum-of-three took to Instagram to repost a story showing West Ham players singing the tune at Fortuna Arena in Prague when they won the European cup for the first time in 40 years.
The initial caption by fellow WAG Summer Godbold read “I’m sorry Dani,” with a crying face emoji, to which Dani responded with three laughing faces. Another fan said they “felt for her” after hearing the song endlessly sung by the fans to which Dani replied: “Oh I don't mind!"
Dani's dad, actor Danny Dyer, who is a life-long Hammers fan, has also made it clear he is not cross about the tune. Joking on his Instagram page, the former EastEnders star wrote: “@jarrodbowen is on fire ….and he’s….cuddling me daughter or something."
Danny has since confessed he “loves Jarrod more than his wife” Joanna Mas, who has been with since the Nineties. He told Drive: “I just didn’t think I could love a man any more.
“It’s been a weird thing because it’s your daughter. They fall in love with people you don’t usually like – but she brought home Jarrod Bowen. I think I love Jarrod more than anyone, more than me own wife! I’m a bit jealous of my daughter.”
