Strictly's Angela Scanlon announces she's been paired 'really good' pro partner
TV presenter Angela Scanlon has teased fans as she revealed she found out who her Strictly Come Dancing partner is for this year's series.
The Irish presenter, 39, who currently hosts BBC2's Your House Made Perfect, has teased fans on Instagram after she was told who she will be dancing with, as she continues training ahead of the upcoming BBC series. The redhead revealed she had been "hideously anxious" at not knowing which Strictly professional she would be dancing with, but was now "b****y delighted" to be matched.
The redheaded presenter took to Instagram to reveal the exciting news ahead of the BBC competition's first live show as she told her fans in a video: "This is the face of a woman who found out her Strictly dance partner. It's a man. I know, and he's really good at dancing!"
She captioned the excited clip as she wrote: "I now know who my #Strictly partner is. I didn’t realise how hideously anxious I was waiting, the control freak within losing her sweet little mind. Anyway, I’ve been put out of my misery & I am bloody delighted, we haven’t started training yet but I already feel a bit calmer which I’m sure is deluded but I’m leaving in for now… Hit me your guess?!!"
Fans have been quick to try and guess who her Strictly professional dance partner could be, with many favouring Giovanni Pernice to spin her round on the dance floor. One fan commented: "I hope it’s Giovanni". Another added: "Gio for sure." A third predicted: "Giovanni??!!!!!"

There were also some Strictly fans keen for Angela to partner with Kai Widdrington, as one begged: "I am BEGGING it’s kai. Would be absolutely brilliant".
Angela was one of the first names announced for this year's Strictly, and she joins a host of famous faces including Bad Education actor Layton Williams, actor Les Dennis, tennis player Annabel Croft, former EastEnders star Nigel Harman, World and Paralympic Champion Jody Cundy, Coronation Street star Ellie Leach, BBC Asian Network’s Breakfast show presenter Nikita Kanda, former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas, Love Island star Zara McDermott, EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, British-Congolese comedian Eddie Kadi and Channel 4 News anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy. Angela Rippon, who will be 79 when she takes to the dance floor later this year, was also revealed on The One Show alongside Sherlock star Amanda Abbington.
