A man bludgeoned his girlfriend and her teen son to death before stashing their bodies in the freezer and taking his own life, police believe.

The bodies of Maria Sandra Aguer, 52, and 13-year-old Thiago Contreras were discovered at their home in Olavarria, in eastern Argentina on Tuesday. Marcelo Fabian Ene was found hanged and claimed in a note the mum and son treated him like a slave, and all he did was work, cook, clean and sleep. The two were reported missing by Aguer's daughters, who said she suddenly stopped calling and that their brother had not shown up at school since August 22.

They went to her home where they were met by Ene, who claimed he did not know where they were. Hours later, 40-year-old Ene is believed to have killed himself. Police were shocked when they entered the home and found Ene had hung himself in the corridor and, upon a further search, they also found the lifeless bodies of Aguer and her son stored in the freezer.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry which is what led them to the likely conclusion that it was a case of double homicide followed by suicide. Investigators reportedly recovered a bloodied hammer and traces of cocaine at the scene, along with a two-page handwritten note left by Ene explaining the macabre discovery.

In the letter, sick Ene confessed to murdering the mum and her son because they were "unbearable" and he was "tired" of working and being the head of the household. The letter began with: "I know that what I did cannot be justified. It was a reaction that I regret."

Claiming that he was mistreated by his partner, he wrote he was "tired" of coming home from work and having to do household chores like "cooking," "washing dishes," or "running errands". Other passages say "I was a maid here" and "she annoyed the hell out of me". The letter is said to have contained many spelling mistakes.

Ene said: "It was something unbearable and stressful to come home from work every day to problems upon problems, and I did nothing more than work, cook, and sleep." He also complained that his partner did not let him talk to his friends, have a beer, or go out under the pretext of "running an errand" because she suspected his relationship with a local store owner.

Ene further wrote: "I got up without saying anything, grabbed the hammer, entered the room without saying a word and gave him 10 hammer blows to the head and then went to the futon and gave another 10 hammer blows to the a****** (sic)", whom he accused of being " rude, capricious and arrogant."

He also said he stored the bodies in the freezer "so they could be mourned." The killer added: "I was a son of a b****. I can only ask for forgiveness, but forgiveness does not fix what I did. Don't tell my old lady, throw me in the stream and that's it." The case is under further investigation.
