Prince Harry slammed for his 'sense of entitlement' after new Netflix show
Prince Harry has been cruelly slammed for his sense of "entitlement" and "piercing sense of victimhood" following the release of his Netflix documentary, Heart of Invictus.
The Duke of Sussex released his brand new show earlier this week, with viewers divided over the content. Heart of Invictus follows former military servicemen and women on their road to the Invictus Games, something Harry set up in 2014 for injured and sick military personnel and veterans.
While many people have enjoyed watching the docuseries, others have hit out Harry for trying to use the documentary as a "search for validation". Royal commentator Jan Moir has hit out at the show for making viewers "look at them [the competitors] and the triumph of their truncated lives" instead of focusing on the "sacrifice they have made for freedom."
She added: "Every time I want to warm to Harry, I am repelled by his huffy, unconscious entitlement and piercing sense of victimhood." Writing in the Daily Mail, Jan explained how she believes Harry focused too much on his own trauma during the series.
She said it takes "a special kind of able-bodied person" to see the sacrifices made by the veterans and return to talking about how he lost his mother at the age of 12. Princess Diana died after a fatal car crash in 1997.

Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person wrote: "Heart of Invictus should have removed all of Harry’s spiteful and victimhood comments. It seems it was distracting to critics and fans. It was an unnecessary addition." Another person said: "Netflix should have left “Heart of Invictus” in the Cancelled pile."
However, other viewers strongly disagreed and praised Harry for his work. "Watching Heart of Invictus on Netflix, what a series," one fan wrote.
They continued: "This event is so life-changing for disabled vets, you can see why it's extremely important and dear to Harry's heart. He's someone who's truly making a difference in the world and in the lives of those who sacrificed so much."
Another person agreed: "Totally and utterly agree! I have just watched Heart of Invictus and finished it tonight, I will never hear a bad word about Harry again. He does so much for the veterans, even going scuba diving."
A third fan added: "Oh Harry, look what you have done for these incredible service men and women and their families! You've brought back hope, strength, smile, resilience & a purpose to live again after serving. #InvictusGames have destigmatised disability. Thank you."
