Madonna was spotted working up a sweat as she pedalled around the streets of NYC with her trainer in good health following a terrifying health scare that landed her in the ICU and caused her to reschedule her Celebrations Tour.

The Material Girl singer was seen cruising around town on a blue bike with fellow bicyclists and her trainer as they enjoyed a summer workout. In the snaps, the 65-year-old pop singer seemed to have no problem keeping up as she zipped along in a crowd sporting her own merchandise.

For the outing the Grammy award-winning singer and Queen of Pop wore her signature logo on her form-fitting leggings with a tight Nike long-sleeved athletic top. The pop icon completed the athletic look with a black baseball hat and her bleach blonde hair tied into two tight braids.

Madonna seems to be returning to her healthy, active lifestyle after a severe bacterial infection back in June after being found unconscious in her home. The Like a Virgin singer reportedly needed to be injected with the drug Narcan to combat her life-threatening septic shock before receiving immediate medical attention.

After being rushed to the hospital, the famous Like a Virgin singer needed to be intubated for at least one night before having the tube removed. Her family was very concerned for her health in the first few days of her hospitalisation. A relative of Madonna's told the Daily Mail at the time: "For the past couple of days, no one really knew which direction this was going to turn, and her family was preparing for the worst."

After the traumatic health scare, Madonna's health took a turn for the better and she is now on the road to recovery. Due to the health scare, the pop icon was forced postpone "Madonna: The Celebration Tour" which was an almost sold out world-wide seven-month tour. Since her recovery, Madonna has announced her rescheduled tour dates which will now officially kick off with four sold out shows in London this October. Madonna will then be returning to the U.S. for the North American leg of her tour on December 13 in New York.

Since the exciting announcement, Live Nation has revealed that in order for Madonna to return to the stage she is going to need to endure a rigorous physical from an independent doctor that proves that she is in good enough health to perform.
