A man was caught driving a converted car with a massive bull on the passenger's seat, his giant horns by far exceeding the vehicle's windshield.

Police in Norfolk, Nebraska received a call about "a car driving into town that had a cow in it," according to Police Captain Chad Reiman. Officers weren't quite prepared for what they were about to see when they made a traffic stop but quickly recognised the car that the call was about.

"They thought that it was going to be a calf, something small or something that would actually fit inside the vehicle," said Captain Reiman. Instead, they faced a mammoth-sized cattle with its body rising out of the passenger seat of a car.

The animal is seen looking around confused while on the moving car riding on the highway. Reiman went on: "The officers performed a traffic stop and addressed some traffic violations that were occurring with that particular situation.

"The officer wrote him some warnings. There were some citable issues with that situation. The officer chose to write him a warning and ask him to take the animal back home and leave the city."

The occupant of the vehicle was identified as Lee Meyer of Neligh, Nebraska, while the cattle was an Ankole-Watusi bull and its name was Howdy Doody. Lee and Howdy Doody are on their way back home and no one was hurt, per the News Channel Nebraska.

The Ankole-Watusi is a modern American cattle breed originating from the Ankole group of Sanga cattle in Africa, known for its distinctive large horns.

These cattle were initially brought to Germany for zoos and eventually spread to other European countries and the United States. In the 1960s, a herd was established in New York through cross-breeding with a Canadian bull.

The Ankole Watusi International Registry was formed in 1983, and a breed standard was created in 1989. As of 2016, there were approximately 1,500 Ankole-Watusi cattle, with around 80% located in the United States.

They come in various colours, often red, and are distinguished by their extremely large horns, which hold records for their size according to Guinness World Records.
