New evidence could mean that Alec Baldwin may still go to jail for killing Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021. The actor, who claims it was an accident, is apparently stressed out about the potential jail time.

From the very beginning, Alec has claimed the incident was not his fault. Although he pointed a Colt .45, he said that he was unaware it had live bullets loaded and he insists that he did not actually pull the trigger. However, new evidence suggested that he may be lying about the latter.

The charges had initially dropped the involuntary manslaughter case, but new forensic analysis suggests that this was not a misfire and the trigger would need to be pulled to fire. With the reopened investigation looming over him, a source said he is anxious about the possible conviction

An insider dished to the National Enquirer. They said: "He's losing it! He's worried sick he could end up behind bars." Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the head armorer on Rust, has also been implicated in the tragic event. She was charged with tampering with evidence and involuntary manslaughter. However, she pled not guilty and next year she will go to trial.

Now, prosecutors are also accusing Hannah of possibly being 'hungover' at work, according to reports. They allege that she was participating in "reckless conduct" and must be "held accountable".

Hannah's attorney rebutted the allegation to The Associated Press. He said: "The case is so weak that they now have chosen to resort to character assassination claims about Hannah. The prosecution has abandoned the idea of doing justice and getting to the actual truth apparently."

She was hit with another accusation during her investigation. Hannah's criminal complaint was updated to included an accusation that she "did transfer narcotics to another person with the intent to prevent the apprehension, prosecution or conviction of herself."

According to ABC News, the complaint said: "The circumstances of the transfer of evidence strongly support the charge that the defendant transferred the cocaine to avoid prosecution and prevent law enforcement from obtaining highly inculpatory evidence directly related to the defendant's handling of the firearm and the circumstances of the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins."

The Mirror has reached out to Alec Baldwin for comment.
