Italian rules on public nudity as Kanye West caught with bare bum out in Venice
Kanye West could be in trouble after flashing his bare bottom while out and about on the canals of Venice as Italy has some pretty strict views on public nudity.
The 46-year-old rap sensation took to a boat ride with his reported wife, Australian architect Bianca Censori, while in the water logged Italian city. He was dressed in an all black outfit, but appeared to have his trousers pulled down to his thighs, and his cheeks were on display.
Photographers captured snaps and video footage of Kanye moving around the boat, with his bottom exposed for all to see while he bend forward and squatted around the deck. His unexpected performance of public nudity could land the Jesus Walks rapper in trouble with the law.
In recent years, authorities in Italy have clamped down on what they view as antisocial behaviour by tourists. In 2017, tourists were reported as being fined as much as €200 (£170) for taking photos of their exposed buttocks in public - a then-craze known as a ‘Belfie’, aka buttock selfie.

Kanye would be in clear breach of such laws as he appeared to exposing himself on purpose.

Further questions arise over what Kanye and 28-year-old Bianca were doing on the water as she seemed to be positioned near his lap, raising the possibility the pair were engaging in some kind of sexual act. While Italy has tough laws in terms of public nudity, they are even stricter when it comes to public sex.
Such activity would breach laws prohibiting obscene acts in public - which used to risk jail time of up to three years. The law changed in 2016 to decriminalise obscene acts in public, although fines are still enforced for such acts.

Bianca has been spotted in an array of revealing bodysuits while out an about in public - many of which are from husband Kanye’s Yeezy clothing collection. But with Italy being a Catholic, conservative country, many locals have been complaining about the Aussie architect’s eye-catching attire.
Angry locals have been taking to X, the app formerly known as Twitter, to air their grievances. One wrote online: "I quite literally have never in my life seen someone with such a poor sense of fashion as Bianca Censori.”
And another quipped: “At least when it comes to flattering clothes and dressing herself like girl u have fashion at your fingertips."
