EastEnders' Cindy Beale teams up with villainous resident ahead of Xmas 'death'
Cindy Beale is set to team up with a villainous resident as she makes her return to EastEnders.
Michelle Collins is returning to her iconic role on the BBC soap this week, and next week she gets herself embroiled in life on the Square very quickly. Making her return alongside her partner Ian Beale and son Peter Beale, it's clear both of them have no plans to leave and are doing their best to resettle into life in Walford after so much time away.
Ever the entrepreneurs, the pair are quick to explore what business options there are for them in Walford and it's not long before she tries to team up with none other than Nish Panesar, who has made quite a name for himself amid his return.
Next week on the BBC soap, Ian is quick to reassure Cindy that her run in with the daughters in the Queen Vic. He promises her they can work a new business in a bid to woo Gina and Anna and get them on her side. Peter also meets up with Ian and asks him to try and sort things out with Kathy, but Rocky is less than happy about Ian's plans.
Whilst sat in the café, Ian suddenly has a brand new idea for a business and invites Nish for lunch in a bid to discuss the investment. His lunch with Suki and Nish doesn't go to plan, and any kind of deal seems to be off the table. Cindy later heads to No 41 in the hope she might be able to persuade Nish to rethink, but what does he say, and will she get the yes she wants?
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likenessNish is one of the names put forward by fans when one man dies this Christmas on Sharon's wedding day. So far, all we know about the victim is that he's male and in a suit - but who is he, and what ramifications will his death have on the Square?
Michelle has teased that Cindy will be back to her usual ways when she makes her big return to Walford.
"I think I’d be annoyed if those situations would be over! I can’t tell you too much, but Cindy has been through a lot in her life. She’s been in witness protection, she’s lived a new life as a completely different person, and I’m amazed that she’s still going with the things she’s been through. She has this amazing resilience and this strength of character," she said.

"I think she also has a side to her which was kind of lacking when she was younger. Possibly more empathy than maybe she had before, and she’s a bit older and wiser. All of the experience you gain in life makes you a different person and the things that she’s been through, but she’s certainly no walkover. I’d say she’s very emotional because of the things she’s been through and I can’t say too much but there’s a lot of emotional stuff going on there. Definitely expect bits of the old Cindy to come back. I also think that people would be disappointed if there wasn’t elements of her old character in there."
She added: "You definitely saw a softer side to her in France, but she does gain momentum and a bit more strength as time goes on. She wants to do what’s right but despite what people say she does love her kids."
