Zayn Malik vows to stay single and focus on being the 'best dad' to his daughter
Zayn Malik is happily single at the moment, according to his mum Trisha who says her son's only priority is looking after his two-year-old daughter shared with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid. The former One Direction star's 'energies are focussed on being a good dad'.
The 30-year-old musician's mother discussed his relationship status at the door of her Bradford home bought by Zayn after his rapid rise to fame alongside his former bandmates Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
Zayn and Gigi separated for good in 2021 but remain as co-parents to their daughter Khai. They previously split for the first time in 2018 before rekindling and welcoming their first child, who will celebrate her third birthday next month.

He was also recently linked to Selena Gomez, but Trisha now says he couldn't be less interested in a relationship.
"Zayn's energies are focused on being a good dad to Khai and his work and that's not going to change any time soon," she told MailOnline. "He's a wonderful father, very caring and loving and devotes a lot of time to his daughter. It's what gives him the most pleasure in life."

"He's a good-looking lad and a lot of women are interested in him but none of that interests him at the moment. He's not even in the dating game. It's all about Khai and then his work," she admitted. Trisha says Zayn and Gigi's setup is 'working very well'.
She called them both 'wonderful people and parents', revealing that the supermodel used to visit Bradford while the pair were dating, detailing the 'very quiet' operations. Trisha admitted it was 'strange having a supermodel in the house' and said she was a 'great girl'.

Despite being stateside, Trisha says she video calls Khai 'at least two or three times per week' as they still maintain a 'wonderful relationship even though she is so far away'. She says the youngster 'recognises me instantly'.
She admitted 'missing' both her son and granddaughter, explaining Zayn has his 'own life' in the US and is 'enjoying himself as a dad and single man'. The musician returned home only 18 months ago after a brief stint in hospital for Trisha. "I was quite poorly back then because I've had heart problems. It's a hereditary thing that runs through my family. But I've made a good recovery since I've had the stents," she told the outlet. "Zayn's a great son who's taken good care of us. We're a very tight family and don't like to make a big fuss about his fame."
