Todd Boyce has seemingly confirmed who will be the one to bring Stephen Reid down on Coronation Street.

Stephen has murdered no less than three people since his arrival to Weatherfield and it looks like more could meet their demise at the hands of the killer. Leo Thompkins was the first to die, then his dad Teddy was killed by Stephen. He also murdered his business associate Rufus, with Rufus' widow now getting suspicious that her husband didn't die in accidental circumstances.

Before he arrived in the Street, he was with Gabrielle - and after a failed romance with Tim's mum Elaine, it looks like he may end up with someone else as he sets his sights on Jenny Connor. Todd revealed Stephen is "delighted" to have another chance but warns that the start of his romance with Jenny could be the beginning of the end for his serial killer days.

Speaking about what his new romance with Jenny could mean for his murderous tendencies, he said: "Stephen's love for intelligent and sassy women could be his downfall. He likes women like that, Gabrielle had sass and intelligence but Jenny has the added element of being great fun, whereas Gabrielle wasn't a whole lot of laughs. The thing is, his love for intelligent and sassy women could be his downfall, Gabrielle got the measure of him and what is to say Jenny isn't going to do that too."

Todd previously teased Tim could be the next to die at the hands of Stephen.

Of what's to come, he added: "He sees Tim as an annoyance, but Tim has lulled Stephen into a bit of a false sense of security. Stephen’s arrogance has led him to underestimate Tim. What Tim is doing is keeping his enemy close by allowing him to stay living in the flat. I enjoy playing those scenes with Joe as there is so much going on between the two of them on so many levels. He isn’t planning on harming him but if Tim got run over I don’t think Stephen would rush to save him."

In filming pictures, Tim can be seen looking for something as he stands near the canal where viewers know Stephen sunk Teddy's body in a car roof box. Could this be the start of Stephen's downfall, or is there more to come?
