Maisie Smith has shared a sweet update from her holiday with boyfriend Max George, much to the delight of her 1m followers on social media.

The EastEnders star took to Instagram on Friday to treat fans to a glimpse of the idyllic vacation, shortly after confessing she still finds auditions 'terrifying' despite 18 years in the industry.

Her career anxieties were nowhere to be seen in her latest update, however, which includes a photo of the 22-year-old chilling in a marble bathtub as she sips on champagne. The reflection of a chandelier can also be seen in the background, suggesting she and The Wanted singer have splashed out on a swanky hotel for their August getaway.

The post, which is captioned, "Holiyay blues", also includes a shot of Max, 34, petting a giant tortoise along with a snap of the couple's scrumptious breakfast of cereal, fruit and waffles. Around the same time as the post going live, Maisie referred to the singer as her "luv" in an adorable photo of them cuddling on her Instagram Stories.

The romantic holiday appears to now be over, but by the sounds of it, it won't be too long until the next one. Max hinted the couple were up for a second round after commenting on his girlfriend's post, "Where next?"

Maisie first met the former footballer on Strictly Come Dancing 2020, but it wouldn't be until the the reality show's live arena tour the following year that they began to have feelings for each other. The BBC One soap star spoke about her relationship with Max for the first time in an interview with Hello! magazine last year, in which she addressed their 13-year age gap and spilled details about their first kiss.

"People ask me: 'Do you notice it?' and I never have. We're so like-minded. I've got friends in their 30s and 40s. You connect with who you connect with," Maisie said, after describing their first smooch as "Fireworks". She also hailed Max for his thoughtful nature, revealing the sweet gesture he always makes when they meet after long journeys.

"When I get off a train, Max will be standing on the platform with a bouquet of flowers and I feel like I'm in a movie. It's every girl's dream and I've found it in Max," she said.
